Trump SBA Slashes All Grants to Minnesota in Wake of Somali Fraud Scandal

In some absolutely huge news announced by conservative commentator and X personality Benny Johnson on X, it was revealed that Trump Administration Small Business Administration (SBA) Administrator Kelly Loeffler has cut off all SBA grants to Minnesota in the wake of the still-emerging Somali migrant fraud scandal.

As background, a steady drumbeat of reports out of Tim Walz’s Minnesota have revealed that Somali migrants in the state have ripped off state and federal taxpayers on a grand scale, pilfering $18 billion or more from programs meant to feed hungry kids, provide subsidized daycare to the poor, aid parents of autistic children, and the like. The fraud has apparently gone on for years, and faced few consequences until now.

The resultant outrage on X has been massive, with conservatives calling for Tim Walz to be arrested and held legally accountable for the fraud, for all the Somali migrants to be arrested and deported, and much more. The DOJ has already launched an operation looking into the matter, and it looks like the SBA is cracking down as well.

Such is what Benny Johnson announced on X, revealing that SBA Administrator Kelly Loeffler has told him that the SBA is cutting off Minnesota from grants in response to the fraud. He began, “🚨BREAKING: The Small Business Administration Drops HAMMER on Somali Fraud, Cuts Off All Minnesota.”

Continuing, he noted that the SBA is not just cutting the notoriously blue state off from new grants, but is clawing back existing ones, saying, “SBA Administrator Kelly Loeffler tells me she is “disgusted and sickened” by Nick Shirley’s expose of Somali small business fraud and is taking immediate action. SBA is cutting off and clawing back ALL SBA grants to Minnesota, effective immediately.”

Further, he explained that Gov. Walz has been caught refusing to protect SBA programs from fraud and $500 million of fraud has been discovered by the SBA with just a few days of investigations. He said, “She says this is due to Tim Walz refusal to enforce laws governing small businesses and the Governors allowance and facilitation of fraud. Loeffler tells me that SBA was able to uncover half a billion dollars of fraud “within days” of investigating Minnesota.”

Adding yet more to that, Benny noted that Loeffler revealed “the Trump administration will focus on the ‘state officials’ who built an ‘industrial-scale crime ring to rip off hardworking Americans’”, indicating that perhaps state officials like Tim Walz will face legal repurcussions for allowing the fraud problem to grow so vast.

Benny then quoted SBA Administrator Loeffler as saying, “The scope of this international scam is still unknown, likely in the billions. Pending further review, SBA is freezing all grant funding to the state in order to stop the rampant waste of taxpayer dollars and uncover the full depth of fraud.”

Concluding his post announcing the major SBA crackdown on Tim Walz’s Minnesota, Benny noted that this is just another way in which the Somali population has made life undeniably worse for normal Americans, saying, “This is how Somali fraud is crippling opportunity for native, law abiding Minnesotans.”
