Trump Refuses to Back Down, Vows Expanded Travel Ban If Victorious in 2024

One of the actions of President Trump that was most hated by the left during his presidency was his infamous travel ban, which he sometimes referred to as a “Muslim ban.” A big hit among MAGA that helped propel him to victory, the policy was despised by the left and held up multiple times by federal judges. Now, Trump is vowing that he will bring it back and make it bigger and better than ever if elected again.

That pledge came when the former president appeared in the town of Dubuque, Iowa, for a speech. Talking to his supporters about his plans for 2025, namely immigration and how he plans on curbing it to keep America safe if elected in 2024.

Speaking about the issue of defending America from those who would do her harm or take advantage of her, Trump said America should defend its own borders instead of those of foreign lands, telling the cheering crowd, “Before we defend the borders of foreign countries, we must secure the border of our country.”

Then, after saying that America needs to be kept secure, he rattled off a number of policies that he said would keep America safe. Among those policies was a renewal of the travel ban and a promise to “carry out the largest domestic deportation operation in American history,” one which would involve, he said, removing gang members, drug dealers, and members of cartels from the United States. He pledged the policy would remove “all known or suspected gang members, drug dealers or cartel members from the United States.”

Also during the speech he vowed a blockade to keep out fentanyl, saying, “And we did that previously and we were knocking that out, you wouldn’t believe it. They were having a lot of problems. But it’s going to be a blockade on the waters of our region — boarding and inspecting ships to look for fentanyl and fentanyl — the people that sell the fentanyl who are very rich people, very, very rich people.”

He also called on Congress to do a better job at standing up to Biden and to defend the border by not passing a budget that involves the use of taxpayer dollars to resettle illegals, saying, “But we cannot wait until 2025 to begin stopping (Democratic President Joe) Biden’s nightmare as a president and on the border. That is why I am calling on congressional Republicans to ban Joe Biden from using a single taxpayer dollar to release or resettle illegal aliens into the United States effective September 30th.”

During an interview with Megyn Kelly, Trump took a very hard stance on the border issue, saying,“I know. But, well, I’m not too worried about that war. Mexico is sending their troops into our country in the form of illegal aliens that are killing people, in many cases, that are causing lots of disease and lots of problems.”

So, if Trump manages to win, America could see a very strong border policy come out of his White House, much in contrast to the actions so far taken by the Biden White House.
