A new Harvard-Harris survey has revealed that the vast majority of Americans fully back deporting all illegal aliens from the country, a fact that is going to ruffle more than a few feathers on the radical left who have tried to claim the exact opposite. The survey took a look at some of the most controversial policies dividing America, and illegal immigration is one that sits near the top.
When participants were asked if they support “deporting all immigrants who are here illegally,” most, 56%, are on board with the idea, compared to the 44% who said they weren’t. Opinions differ drastically along party lines with 77% of Republicans supporting deportation for illegal aliens. A majority of independents, 53%, sided with the GOP. Only 37% of Democrats support booting illegal immigrants from the country.
The survey then asked participants if they think Democrats and Republicans support deporting “violent undocumented immigrants.” A total of 55% said they believe Democrats are in favor of deporting violent illegal aliens, while 82% said they believe Republicans desire to do so. The survey also discovered that 80% support deporting illegal immigrants who “have committed crimes.”
According to a report from Breitbart News, “There is a majority consensus across the political spectrum, as 71 percent of Democrats, 90 percent of Republicans, and 79 percent of independents support deporting illegals who committed crimes.” The issue of illegal immigration tied for third place as a top concern for American voters, with affordability and the economy taking the first two spots.
President Donald Trump has his highest approval rating on the issue of immigration, coming in at 49%. Democrats have attempted to create a narrative that says people greatly dislike the president because of the way he’s handled immigration, but the numbers tell a different story. The survey was conducted between May 29-31, 2026, among 1,725 registered voters. The margin of error is +/- 2.4%.
The survey comes as Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) continues to conduct operations to detain the worst criminal illegal aliens currently walking free across the United States. ICE recently arrested a number of these individuals convicted for heinous crimes such as murder, child abuse, distribution of fentanyl, and more.
Authorities took Juan Flores-Chavez of El Salvador into custody, who was convicted of murder in Harris County, Texas; Styv Charles, hailing from Haiti, who was convicted for indecent assault on a child less than 13-years-old in Bucks County, Pennsylvania; and Victor Alfonso Moreno-Jimenez of Mexico, who was convicted for the sickening crime of “sex abuse against a child – fondling and sexual exploitation of minor – sexual performance” in Baltimore City, Maryland, and that’s just a small sample.

“While Americans enjoyed their weekends, ICE law enforcement was arresting murderers, pedophiles, child abusers, and drug traffickers,” DHS Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis went on to say in a statement. “Instead of thanking ICE law enforcement for removing these monsters, sanctuary politicians continue to side with criminal illegal aliens over American citizens. Under President Trump and Secretary Mullin, we will always put the safety of American citizens first.”
