Trump Gets Great Christmas News as His Approval Rating Shoots Up Alongside Major Policy Wins

According to a December 2025 InsiderAdvantage poll of 800 likely voters, President Donald Trump holds a 50% approval rating, with 41% disapproving and 9% undecided, yielding a net +9 points. This marks more substantial support than RealClearPolling’s average of 44% approval, and signals strong support from conservatives.

This poll, conducted amid Trump’s 11-month administration, reveals deep demographic divides: 59% of men approve, compared with 34% who disapprove, while women show 42% approval and 47% disapproval. Trump ties at 44% approval among voters under 40, but enjoys 54% among those 40-64 and 49% among seniors 65+.

By party, Trumpgarners 84% from Republicans, 25% from Democrats, and 37% from independents, with 41% disapproving. The U.S. economy’s robust performance is likely to bolster these ratings. Third-quarter 2025 GDP grew at an annualized 4.3%, the fastest rate in two years, surpassing forecasts of 3.3% and accelerating from Q2’s 3.8%.

The economy has been buoyed by strong consumer spending, rising exports, and a $166 billion surge in corporate profits; this growth defied the early-year contraction of 0.6% in Q1, which was partly attributed to tariffs. Economists credit Trump’s policies for resilience, potentially helping him maintain his edge with older voters ahead of the 2026 midterms.

Others have pointed to Trump’s strong record on deportations and illegal immigration as relevant to the strong results in the polling. Additionally, low gas prices have contributed to his popularity, with the high prices of the Biden administration just a few years ago proving Trump’s leadership on the economy.

Reacting to the news on social media, one user noted, “Momentum is real. Despite nonstop media attacks, President Trump is back at 50% approval with likely voters — proof that Americans are responding to results, not narratives. As policies deliver, support follows. This is what leadership looks like.”

Agreeing, another added, “50% approval heading into the holidays? That’s a strong start for delivering on promises—border security, economic wins, and peace through strength abroad. The American people are feeling the momentum. Keep it up…”

“President Trump got some good news to kick off his week: his approval rating has now hit 50%, giving him a net approval of plus 9 points. What makes this even more satisfying is that liberals all over the country are stomping around like preschoolers🤣” a conservative said, to widespread agreement from other social media users on X, formerly Twitter.

Noticing the positive demographic information, a woman declared, “A new poll came out, things are looking good 👍🏻⭐️⭐️ Keep the positive momentum going ❤️ …his approval moved back into the 50-percentile range. The improvement came from numerous demographics — including… independent voters… younger voters… female voters.”

Another bombastic post, exclaimed, “🚨 HOLY CRAP! SHOCK poll finds President Trump’s approval rating at +9 nationwide, a +14 point SURGE since November… Democrats can’t believe this! The attacks failed, Trump is entering 2026 in a VERY strong position.”

Encouraged, a tweet read, “Momentum is real. Despite nonstop media attacks, President Trump is back at 50% approval with likely voters — proof that Americans are responding to results, not narratives.” Building o nthis point, one account stated, “50% approval heading into the holidays? That’s a strong start for delivering on promises—border security, economic wins… The American people are feeling the momentum.”
