Celebrating his major legislative accomplishment of ramming the Big, Beautiful Bill through Congress, President Donald Trump noted that Immigration and Customs Enforcement had scored a major win in getting a huge funding boost through the bill, and noted that what is coming thanks to it is the largest deportation campaign in history.
As background, the BBB will increase ICE’s budget by about 20x, raising it to around $145 billion. In addition to allowing for the hiring of 10,000 more ICE agents, the bill will fund construction of the border wall, fund thousands of Border Patrol agents, and thousands more customs agents. Altogether, it will mean a very strong border and the potential for vastly increased deportations.
Now that the increased funding is in place and the additional agents can be hired, many in the MAGA coalition expect to see the deportations ramp up to a point that the presence of fewer illegal aliens is noticeable and the ancillary benefits that many expect, such as less traffic and higher wages, come about.
Trump indicated that as much is coming in his post on Truth Social. Beginning, he thanked the many ICE officers who are already putting themselves in harm’s way to keep out illegals, saying, “This July 4th weekend I want to give a big ‘THANK YOU!’ to the Heroic ICE Officers fighting every day to reclaim our Sovereignty and Freedom.”
Continuing, he noted that one of the best aspects of the BBB is how many more resources, all of them much-needed, it pours into ICE so that the mass deportation operation can take place. He said, “One of the most exciting parts of the ‘ONE BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL ACT’ is that it includes ALL of the Funding and Resources that ICE needs to carry out the Largest Mass Deportation Operation in History.”
Adding to that point, the president noted that ICE officers have long been putting themselves directly in harm’s way and now their agency will be finally funded to the degree it needs to be to keep them safer. He wrote, on that point, “Our Brave ICE Officers, who are under daily violent assault, will finally have the tools and support that they need.”
Then, taking it a step further than many of the more mainstream Republicans would, the president noted that a vastly better-funded ICE will help keep America from turning into a “third world country” filled with all the usual problems seen in the third world, such as disastrously bad infrastructure and crime rates. He said, “We will not let America become a Third World Country filled with Crime, failing Schools, collapsing Hospitals, and total Social Dysfunction.” He concluded, “It’s called ‘REMIGRATION’ and, it will, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

In another post on the bill, the president said, “The One Big Beautiful Bill will deliver the strongest border on Earth, the strongest economy on Earth, the strongest military on Earth, & ensure the United States of America will remain the strongest country anywhere on this beautiful planet of ours…”
