Trump Administration Given the Green Light to Prosecute Rogue Judge Who Aided Illegal Alien

In some major news, long-awaited by those who want to see the rogue judiciary reined in and blocked from illegally and unfairly wielding its power against the clearly constitutional actions of the Trump Administration, the DOJ’s prosecution of Milwaukee County Judge Hannah Dugan has been greenlit by the federal courts.

As background, the DOJ is prosecuting Milwaukee County Judge Dugan because it alleges that she used her position as a judge to try to sneak an illegal alien out of the court so that he could dodge ICE agents and remain on the lam, a stunning abuse of power. Judge Dugan’s legal team contends that she has immunity and thus can’t be prosecuted, an argument that was struck down.

The incident began on April 18, 2025, when immigrant Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, who was deported to his home country of Mexico before re-entering the United States illegally, was in court before Judge Dugan. ICE, seeking to detain the illegal alien so that he could be deported, arrived at the courthouse.

Instead of working with the federal immigration authorities, Judge Dugan allegedly snuck Ruiz out of the courtroom, through her chambers. Ruiz then tried escaping the courthouse by making a break for it, leading the immigration authorities on a chase. He was, however, caught and taken into custody. Judge Dugan was then indicted on May 13 over her April 18 actions in the Milwaukee County Courthouse.

After being arrested by FBI agents at the courthouse and indicted over her aid of the illegal alien, for which she faces both felony and misdemeanor charges carrying the potential for six years in prison, Judge Dugan appealed the whole situation by arguing that she has immunity. It was that argument that U.S. District Judge Lynn Adelman, a very liberal judge appointed by Bill Clinton, struck down.

In his ruling, Judge Adelman wrote that there is no basis for allowing Judge Dugan to claim judicial immunity here just because her illegal actions came while she was on the job as a judge, ruling, “There is no basis for granting immunity simply because some of the allegations in the indictment describe conduct that could be considered ‘part of the judge’s job.'”

Describing the arguments made by each side about the immunity issue and ruling that the feds have the better case here, Judge Adelman ruled, “The dispute between the parties boils down to this: Defendant posits a general rule of immunity, subject to certain exceptions which account for the previous (and legitimate) prosecutions of judges. According to the government, there is no general rule of immunity, and what defendant calls exceptions are simply examples of the types of prosecutions that have been brought against judges. A review of the relevant history reveals the government has the better of the argument.”

While it is expected to appeal the decision, Judge Dugan’s defense team revealed little about its plans in a post-ruling statement, saying, “While we’re disappointed by this decision, we look forward to the trial, which will show Judge Dugan did nothing wrong and simply treated this case like any other in front of her courtroom.”
