After the former Georgia Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan announced his switch to the Democratic Party in an Atlanta Journal-Constitution op-ed, President Trump demolished the self-serving politician in an epic post to Truth Social.
For context, Duncan was expelled from the state GOP for his continued pattern of disloyalty, which culminated in an endorsement of Kamala Harris and Joe Biden. In his more recent article, the failed politician whined about the president and his supporters in typically out-of-touch remarks.
This was evident in Duncan’s highly controversial op-ed, where he criticized Trump’s response to the 2020 election. He whined, “My journey to becoming a Democrat started well before Donald Trump tried to steal the 2020 election in Georgia.”
Still not done, he set out a timeline for his treachery, saying, “There’s no date on a calendar or line in the sand that points to the exact moment in time my political heart changed, but it has. My decision was centered around my daily struggle to love my neighbor, as a Republican.”
Describing the kind of voters that he claims are better represented by Democrats, Duncan continued his critical article. He stated, “So, the reality is they have a job, just the wrong job. One that doesn’t offer health insurance or generate enough spare money each month to afford their own health insurance plan.”
Concluding his remarks, the former Lieutenant Governor offered obsequious compliments to his new political party. He groveled, “The list of reasons why I’m now a Democrat continues to grow. Most importantly, my decision puts me in the best possible position each day to love my neighbor.”
Reacting to this embarrassing outburst, President Trump slammed Geoff Duncan in a viral post to Truth Social. He noted, “Failed former Lt. Governor Geoff Duncan, of Georgia, is a total loser. Was never able to get anything done, all he ever did was complain. We didn’t want him in the Republican Party any longer, so I’m told he became a Democrat. Good riddance Geoff. You don’t even have a chance!!!”

Continuing the epic beatdown, the president slammed Duncan’s new job as a talking head. He posted, “He is a total lightweight, and went to work at a low salary for Fake News CNN. His sole function is to knock Donald J. Trump. Georgia should throw this ‘bum’ out of the Party. He is unelectable and not respected by anyone, other than your lightweight Governor, Brian Kemp who, if it wasn’t for me, would have never been Governor….”
As we reported, during the 2024 election, before Geoff Duncan had changed his allegiances, he endorsed Kamala Harris, ironically arguing that the “country is so desperate for just a steady leader,” like the failed Democrat.
During an interview with Brianna Keilar of CNN Central News, Duncan said, “I think the most important thing she needs to do is just be a steady hand. This country is so desperate for just a steady leader that is able to act like a president, talk like a president, tweet like a president.”
Continuing his pathetic praise, the former Georgia Lt. Gov. made the absurd argument that a Harris presidency would save the then-lagging stock market. Duncan hypothesized, “I really feel like that’s going to be a huge opportunity for her as these markets continue to go back and forth.”
