In the wake of a horrifying incident in which pro-illegal immigration protesters went on the attack against federal agents who were attempting to catch illegal aliens, even to the point of one protester shooting at ICE agents and others throwing rocks and similar detritus at federal vehicles, President Trump announced that he was unleashing ICE on the protesters.
As background, the announcement and situation surrounding it comes in the context of the Trump Administration’s full-court press against illegal immigration and its defenders. ICE has seen its funding increased by around 20x by the Big, Beautiful Bill and is hiring ten thousand more agents, for example, and now it and other federal agents are arresting thousands of illegal aliens a day in massive sweeps.
Amongst those sweeps was a raid targeting a marijuana operation in California that was caught employing not just dozens of underpaid illegal immigrants, but a dozen child laborers, most of whom were unaccompanied minors, raising eyebrows about what was really going on at the growing operation. Then, during and after the raid, protesters started attacking the ICE agents, including at one point throwing rocks at their vehicles.
Writing about that incident in his fiery Truth Social post in which he announced that he was unleashing ICE to go after those who do the attacking, President Trump said, “I am on my way back from Texas, and watched in disbelief as THUGS were violently throwing rocks and bricks at ICE Officers while they were moving down a roadway in their car and/or official vehicle.”
Continuing on that point, he noted that the violent protesters had done much damage to ICE vehicles, saying, “Tremendous damage was done to these brand new vehicles. I know for a fact that these Officers are having a hard time with allowing this to happen in that it shows such total disrespect for LAW AND ORDER.”
He then got to the solutions part of the post, which was announcing that he was going to ensure that the Border Patrol, Department of Homeland Security, and ICE will be revising their rules of engagement as applied to arrests to ensure that they can arrest those who attack ICE agents.
Announcing as much, the president said, “Therefore, I am directing Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, and Border Czar, Tom Homan, to instruct all ICE, Homeland Security, or any other Law Enforcement Officer who is on the receiving end of thrown rocks, bricks, or any other form of assault, to stop their car, and arrest these SLIMEBALLS, using whatever means is necessary to do so.”

Concluding, he said that they have full authorization to go after those protesters who attack them, and the protesters will be arrested and incarcerated. He said, “I am giving Total Authorization for ICE to protect itself, just like they protect the Public. I never want to see a car carrying a Law Enforcement Officer attacked again! AUTHORIZATION IMMEDIATELY GRANTED FOR ARREST AND INCARCERATION. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
