“Time to Retire”: Elderly, Notorious RINO Hammered by Negative Comments after She Announces She’s Running Again [WATCH]

Senator Susan Collins announced her 2026 re-election bid for the U.S. Senate on social media, declaring, “As a proud native of Maine… I’m excited to announce my run for re-election.” She shared a campaign video featuring supportive Mainers praising her hard work, honesty, and advocacy for women.

However, the announcement drew sharp conservative backlash online. Critics called her a “spineless” RINO, noted how she votes with Democrats 80% of the time, and accused her of hypocrisy for breaking a 1996 campaign promise to serve only two terms.

Taking to social media, the infamous RINO posted, “As a proud native of Maine, I’ve dedicated my life to serving our state and nation. I am deeply grateful for the unwavering support Mainers have shown me over the years. It is an honor to serve you, and I’m excited to announce my run for re-election to the U.S. Senate in 2026.”

Additionally, she attached a link to a campaign video featuring sycophantic comments. “There is just simply no one who works as hard as Senator Collins does for the people of Maine, and we are so lucky to have her. I thank Susan for all the work she’s done. Any time I’ve called with an issue, she and her staff have been there. So she has my whole hearted support,” one of the featured clips stated.

Another segment in the video alleged, “You’re fair with us, you’re honest with us, you’re hard working. You stay on the job. We appreciate that. We have very challenging issues that we all face today, and I can think of no better person to represent the state of Maine.”

“I want to thank Susan Collins for all her work for farmers over the years, especially helping my own family’s farm where we produce maple syrup. I also want to thank her for her unbelievable constituent services throughout the state of Maine, where her Constituent Services has made all the difference in people’s lives. She supports all of Maine women and all of Maine,” another citizen featured in the video stated.

However, when the post and video went viral on social media, primarily because it was being attacke, conservatives were much less thrilled with Collins. “Oh Susan, deciding to run again? Pathetic. Another round of spineless votes for the Uniparty. Most of us are done with your moderate act—time to retire, not recycle. #RINOExit,” said one woman.

“You are 73 years old and have been in Congress 29 years. You promised to serve ONLY 2 terms. You have a Liberty Score of an F (20%). You backstab Republicans constantly and vote with DEMS 80% of the time! Repeal the 17th Amendment,” another conservative pointed out.

Irate, one user declared, “I’m floored. At 73, after nearly three decades in the Senate, this perfectly shows why we desperately need term limits to stop career politicians from clinging to power well past their prime,” adding, “During her 1996 campaign, she explicitly pledged to serve only two terms to avoid becoming a career politician. Now she’s on her fifth term and gunning for a sixth.”

    Watch the clip here:

“That’s pure hypocrisy and a straight-up betrayal of the term-limits spirit she once championed. @SenatorCollins, running for another term at 73 despite that ironclad 1996 promise? Unacceptable. Maine deserves better than this flip-flop. Time to honor your word and step aside,” the lengthy comment noted.
