Melting down in an embarrassing fashion, which created a massive online backlash, Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) accused House Republicans of acting like “fascists,” shortly after a wave of left-wing violence. When footage of this childish temper tantrum was posted to social media, conservative commentators blasted the entitled Democrat for her inflammatory rhetoric.
For context, Tlaib was freaking out after a number of historic MAGA wins. Specifically, she cited the Trump administration’s decision to mobilize hundreds of National Guard soldiers to secure Washington, D.C., which has resulted in dramatically lower crime rates.
In any case, Tlaib began her comments with stereotypical whining. “We can’t be passive right now, so nobody over there should take anything we say seriously, you know, like so personally, as if we’re attacking them,” she complained.
In a cynical attempt at self-promotion, Tlaib claimed, “No, we’re attacking a process, not attacking people here. And I think it’s really important we need to stand up against this fascist takeover. That’s not a bad word. It’s a fact.”
Continuing her dishonest framing, Tlaib alleged, “And here in DC and across the country, it is so incredibly important, Mr. Chair, that this committee does not allow rhetoric that defames or paints Washington Z in a way that you all haven’t really truly seen. You’re just reading it. No, you’re just reading it or something off of some…”
Finally, the chairman attempted to restore decorum, but Tlaib continued undeterred. “I don’t yield. I don’t even have time. I can tell you….Mr. Chairman, but you all live here, and you’re not telling people the beautiful parts that you do see in our nation’s capital. And no, no, no, it’s just wrong,” the Democrat claimed.
Another representative, likely Byron Donalds (R-FL), said, “She’s going to refer to me and some of my colleagues as if we were from the Third Reich. It’s insane. …Do I look like a member of the Third Reich? To you, Miss Talib, is that what I look like to you?”

Doubling down on her wild rhetoric, Tlaib continued unabashedly whining, “I think it’s radical, and I think it’s radical, and I think it’s insane, and I don’t respect anything that you say, but to say something like that to myself and all of my colleagues is way out of line.”
Justifiably annoyed, one conservative influencer asked, “Why is she allowed to act like that in OUR HOUSE! π€¬π€¬π€¬π€¬Listen to this screaming match during a hearing on crime in DC! ππππ
THIS WOMAN IS AN EMBARRASSMENT!”
Returning to social media, Rep. Donalds issued a powerful statement. “It’s been 8 days since a leftist assassin shot my friend @charliekirk11 Just now, Rashida Tlaib just called us “FASCIST” again. This rhetoric is WRONG. This rhetoric is UNHINGED. This rhetoric is OUT-OF-LINE. This rhetoric has INSPIRED MURDER. WE WILL NOT STAND TO BE DEFAMED,” he noted.

Still not done, the conservative star added in another post, “For years, the left has defamed us “FASCIST” & that exact rhetoric inspired Tyler Robinson to assassinate Charlie. Today in @GOPoversight, Rashida Tlaib irresponsibly doubled-down. We must call them out EVERY SINGLE TIME. We must stand strong in our beliefs. YOUR VOICE MATTERS.”
