In a bombshell appearance on Fox News, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem announced that she had discovered the identity of alleged leakers within the federal government who tipped off the criminal Tren de Aragua gang about Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids. ICE raids in Virginia, California, and other states have been undermined by intelligence leaks that alerted illegal immigrants to the presence of federal agents.
For context, Noem and other top Trump administration officials have slammed the leaks that tipped off the dangerous criminal organization, illustrating how they put innocent law enforcement lives at risk and subverted the rule of law.
Beginning her remarks, Noem announced that the leakers had been identified. She said, “I have found some leakers. We are continuing to get more. They will be fired. There will be consequences. And remember, when they leak information to the press in order to blow an OP, they are putting law enforcement lives in jeopardy.”
Building on that point, she hammered home the security concerns with unauthorized leaks. She added, “They are risking their lives and putting their families in the position where they have to live without those individuals any further. So you bet we have used every tactic that we have. If you remember, we talked just last week about how I’m using polygraphs to go after and to really interview these folks.”
Then, she reiterated the DHS’s mission. Noem said, “Because we are a national security agency, I have that tool I can use to look at their emails and communications. And it’s amazing how these bureaucrats who have an agenda to stop the work that we’re doing to bring safety to America will sell each other down the river if it’s just to protect themselves.”
Concluding her remarks, the DHS secretary reassured the public. She said, “So don’t worry, I am doing everything to find these leakers and to get rid of them so that we can do our work, and our law enforcement officers and agents can do it safely.”

As we reported, Attorney General Pam Bondi made a statement on the leaks that put ICE agents at risk. She said, “I can’t talk about anything ongoing, of course, but what I will say is to explain to you and the American people why this is so wrong and so illegal.”
Building on that point, she emphasized how leaks can compromise security. She said, “Anytime you leak anything about a pending investigation, what do you do? You jeopardize the lives of our men and women in law enforcement who are going in there to make these arrests. It’s dangerous enough making these arrests, yet when you leak it and give criminals a heads up that they are coming, it could jeopardize lives, and that is illegal, and we will not tolerate it in the FBI, in any department within the United States government.”
