In what might be one of the more entertaining, for conservatives, admissions to come out of the Trump presidential victory and hysteric leftist reaction to it, the co-hosts of ABC’s “The View” admitted on the Wednesday, November 20th broadcast of the show that they were “miserable” with Trump having won.
The entertaining admission was sparked by a squabble amongst the co-hosts before the show cut to commercials. When it came back, they admitted that their tensions were high and got the better of them, with Whoopi broaching the subject of not feeling right and Behar admitting that she, and indeed half the country, the half that voted for Kamala, felt miserable.
Whoopi, beginning the discussion, described differing opinions as beautiful and described the show as “messy,” saying, “We’re having a conversation. And we’re going to go back to it but before we do, I just want to say this is the beauty of people who have different opinions. Sometimes it’s messy. Sometimes we’re messy.”
Continuing, she blamed the squabble on vague generalities, saying that she thought “something is in the air” that made them act differently than they otherwise would. She said, “I don’t know if you noticed that when I came out this morning, I had trouble trying to figure out, because there was nothing in the thing. There’s something in the air.”
That’s when Joy Behar chimed in and admitted that she feels miserable now that Trump has won and expects that about all Kamala voters do as well. Beginning, she noted that the election had been lost and said, “You know what’s in the air, Whoopi, Trumpism. We lost the election. Wait a minute. we lost the election.”
Continuing, Behar connected that loss to feeling quite miserable, blaming that for the on-air squabble amongst the co-hosts and saying, We’re miserable. half of this country is miserable and let’s just tell the truth. We hate that he won. We hate it and everybody is uptight and crazy right now.”
Replying, Goldberg attacked the teleprompter and told it to stop “blaming” her, saying, “Well then I’m going to say to that machine over there, you stop blaming me. You do what you’re supposed to do. You bring up the words I need to say so what I need to say is we’re going to go back to the convo that we were having.”
Watch that here:
Commenting on the incident, an account on X that goes by “Jack” wrote, “Joy Behar on The View: ‘We lost the election. We’re miserable. Half of this country is miserable.’ Who else is absolutely loving this? 🤣” Replying, a commenter said, “They didn’t mind when we were miserable for 4 years in fact they loved it! Now it’s our turn!”
On another post, a different commenter questioned whether it is really half the country that cares so much, stating, “It’s not “half the country”!!! It’s a loud highly funded and coordinated MINORITY falsely arrogating their ‘divide and conquer’ narrative as if it were the majority view. The majority of the country are NOT aligned with these angry hateful dividers.”
