In yet another two broadcasts of “The View,” the sho’s clucking hens decided to lose their cool about both Krysten Sinema and Brittney Griner, getting angry at the idea that an unwatched WNBA player makes less than a superstar NBA player and that Sinema ditched the Democrats to become an independent.
Sunny Hostin was the main one losing her cool on the Brittney Griner situation, saying both that Biden hadn’t gotten enough credit for getting her released and that her arrest in Russia shows WNBA players need to make more. Watch that here:
But Hostin wasn’t the only one sounding off on the issue. Whoopi Goldberg jumped in too, saying “This was a diplomatic win for the Biden administration, but a bigger win for the United States. It’s a bigger win for us, the people. We have been on this, and let’s make sure we do the same for Paul Whelan,” she added. “We’re going to stay on it and never forget that he’s there.”
Alyssa Farah Griffin was the sole voice of reason on the matter, saying that though she’s happy Griner is released from the gulag, the person Biden traded to get her out is a dangerous character. In her words:
“I’m not in the George Bush, ‘never negotiate with terrorists,’ because sometimes you have to, but you have to make sure that there’s — it doesn’t pose too much of a risk to the homeland. I fear, like, this is somebody who is going to someday have the blood of Ukrainians or Americans on his hands.”
That wasn’t all the clucking hens on The View were losing their cool about recently. They also freaked out that Sinema is now an independent rather than a Democrat, even though she’ll almost certainly vote the way of the Democrats on most issues.
The View rages at Senator Sinema for switching to independent.
Joy Behar suggests she's for working with the GOP who "have no platform" and "hang out with Nazis and white supremacists."

And Behar wasn’t the only one getting angry about the Sinema situation. Sunny Hostin joined in the Sinema bashing as well, saying that Sinema changed parties to win popularity. In her words (mocking Sinema): “Maybe I can get those independent voters and maybe I can get those Republican voters and maybe they’ll love me,”
Hostin also started shouting about the issue, yelling “She just hurt the Senate! … We were going to get a lot done, and if she wants to talk about getting a lot done, then she should have remained a Democrat so that we can get things done.”

All that hand-wringing and yelling came despite the fact that Sinema’s switching sides will likely change little, as Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer admitted, saying:
Senator Sinema informed me of her decision to change her affiliation to Independent. She asked me to keep her committee assignments and I agreed. Kyrsten is independent; that’s how she’s always been.
I believe she’s a good and effective Senator and am looking forward to a productive session in the new Democratic majority Senate. We will maintain our new majority on committees, exercise our subpoena power, and be able to clear nominees without discharge votes.
