In an absolutely hilarious, classic Trump moment in the White House, President Donald Trump went nuclear on far-left CNN reporter Kaitlin Collins for her slanted coverage and obvious bias, arguing that Americans are tired of the blatant wokeness she pushes with her program and because of it no longer watch her or her network.
As background, the explosive incident, which came on Monday, April 14, occurred when President Donald Trump was meeting with El Salvadorian President Nayib Bukele, who has been contracted by the Trump Administration to hold deported illegal immigrants suspected of ties to Tren de Aragua and MS-13.
Sparking the particular exchange between Collins and President Trump was that a certain illegal immigrant who had been living in Maryland was deported to El Salvador because he was suspected MS-13 ties, and the courts have tried to get the Trump Administration and Bukele to bring him back to America. Both have so far refused to comply, with Team Trump arguing it is a foreign policy issue and Bukele arguing US courts have no jurisdiction over his prisons.
In any case, the furious back and forth began with President Trump calling on Collins by joking about CNN’s continual struggle with ratings and attracting viewers, saying, “Let’s hear the question from this very low-rated anchor at CB-, at CNN. Low-rated!”
Collins, without remarking on her network’s success, or lack thereof, in attracting viewers, asked him if he would return the illegal alien from Maryland, asking, “Do you plan to ask President Bukele to help return the man who your administration says was mistakenly deported to El Salvador?”
President Trump demurred and handed off the question to both Stephen Miller and AG Pam Bondi, neither of whom indicated that the illegal alien would return. Collins, obviously annoyed, snapped, “You said if The Supreme Court said if someone needed to be returned, you would abide by that.”
Bukele, for his part, chimed in and said, “How can I return him to the United States? Like if I smuggle him into the United States?” Continuing, he said, “Of course I’m not going to do it. The question is preposterous. We’re not very fond of releasing terrorists.”

President Trump, agreeing with the general drift of Bukele’s remarks, argued that the left would love to see the worst sorts of foreign criminals brought into the United States because they are “sick people.” He said, “They’d love to have a criminal, you know, released into our country. They would love it. They’re- these are sick people.”
Then, turning from that to roasting Collins and her network again, the president asked, “Why don’t you just say, ‘Isn’t it wonderful that we’re keeping criminals out of our country?’” Building on that, he asked why she isn’t at least honest with her obvious slant and bias in what she purports to report and how she asks questions, snapping, “Why can’t you say that? Why do you go over and over, and that’s why nobody watches you anymore, you know, you have no credibility.”
