In an embarrassing incident, infamous RINO Sen. John Cornyn (TX) pretended that he had no memory of working with the Democrats to pass Joe Biden’s gun control legislation during an exchange with Texas Gun Rights on X.
For context, Sen. Mitch McConnell tasked Cornyn with crafting bipartisan gun control after the devastating 2022 Uvalde school shooting. After signing the resulting legislation on June 25, 2022, Biden later thanked Cornyn personally. Reacting to the situation, Texas Gun Rights president Chris McNutt slammed Cornyn’s apparent forgetfulness and brought up his poor polling against primary challenger Ken Paxton.
In any case, when asked by Texas Gun Rights if he remembered teaming up with Democrats to pass gun control, Sen. John Cornyn answered “No.” Reacting to the absurd post, Texas Gun Rights president Chris McNutt slammed the infamous RINO.
McNutt stated, “Perhaps at 73, Cornyn is starting to share more than just policy blunders with Biden; that creeping forgetfulness might explain why he’s also in denial about those abysmal polls showing AG Paxton wiping the floor with him. Texas Gun Rights is happy to remind Cornyn — and all pro-gun Texans — of his blunders.”
During the initial incident, then-Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) charged that the controversial Texas Senator, Cornyn, had crossed the aisle to cooperate with President Biden. He said, “I met with Senator Cornyn this morning. As you know, he went home yesterday to see the family members and begin the fact-finding of this awful massacre, and I have encouraged him to talk with Sen. Murphy, Sen. Sinema, and others who are interested in trying to get an outcome that is directly related to the problem. I am hopeful that we could come up with a bipartisan solution.”
As we reported, Texas AG Ken Paxton, who is making a serious effort to primary John Cornyn and send the RINO packing, has been making waves for his confident actions to bring Democratic Reps who’ve fled the state to block Republican led redistricting to justice. Additionally, he announced an investigation into failed Democrat Beto O’Rourke, who cynically used the opportunity to fundraise.
As we reported, O’Rourke sent out a fundraising text which read, “The guy impeached for bribery is going after the folks trying to stop the theft of five Congressional seats. I encourage everyone to text FIGHT to 20377. Let’s stop these thugs before they steal our country.”

Reacting to this callous and cynical text, Ken Paxton announced his intention to go after O’Rourke. He stated, “According to public reports, Powered by People has been one of the top groups bankrolling the Texas House Democrat members who abandoned Texans and vacated their offices. By providing these liberal lawmakers with the funds to flee the state, Powered by People may have violated bribery laws.”
Explaing the details of this devious scheme, the conservative hardliner added, “Powered by People and the runaway Democrats may have also violated other Texas laws, including, but not limited to, those governing campaign or officeholder contributions and expenditures, coercion of a public servant, and abuse of office.”
Concluding his remarks, Paxton described the harsh consequences of failing to follow the law. Paxton continued, “Any Democrat coward breaking the law by taking a Beto Bribe will be held accountable. Texas cannot be bought.”
