“Tarlov Crossed the Line”: Calls for Tarlov’s Firing Grow after Latest Comments

Liberal Fox News commentator Jessica Tarlov has recently faced backlash from conservatives online following comments she made about former President Donald Trump.  In the aftermath of the remarks, there have been increasing calls on social media for Tarlov to be removed from Fox News.

For context, Tarlov had recently called for the “final nail” to be put “in the coffin” so that former President Trump would not appear on the ballot.  “This is the chance to put the final nail in the coffin so that you don’t have Donald Trump on the ballot again,” she said.  Tarlov has been blasted for the wording, which some believe to be incendiary amid the assassination attempts against Trump.

One person wrote that Tarlov had made too many controversial and false statements on the network.  “It’s all about the ratings. Tarlov has crossed the line too many times. She is interruptive and tells flat out lies. She repeats debunked statements of her democrat party. Today will be the last day I watch The Five when she is a panelist. Ratings rule!” they commented.

“When is Jessica being fired for her comments “nail…”. She consistently lies like 60 percent support Amestity – who is this 60 percent. To the other host of Five what are you going to get rid of her. @FoxNews you don’t listen to viewers and will become CNN – to bad,” another person wrote, claiming Fox News doesn’t understand the interests of its viewers.

“Fridays show was awe full. You let Jessica Tarlov run the show. That person should be on The View. I understand Fox wanting an opposing view on topics, but she is now at the point of unbearable. We too, may start switching to Newsmax. Btw I enjoy the rest of the host including Harold,” another person said in the comments section.

“@TheFive Please challenge Jessica when she lies like when she said the US government provided StarLink. They did not. The FCC denied Elon the license to provide Starlink to those remote areas before the hurricane. Then they had to allow him to be able to help NC,” another user wrote, calling out an incident where Tarlov was fact-checked on a claim she made about Starlink satellites.
As background, Tarlov had claimed during a segment on “The Five” that suggested that the Biden-Harris administration had been the first to get satellites installed in North Carolina after the destruction of Hurricane Helene.  However, this was extensively fact-checked with users on social media providing evidence to the contrary.

During a discussion on the panel, Pirro said, “Elon Musk to set up Starlink so that they could get some cell coverage on their phone to be able to apply for the 750 I mean, if it weren’t for all of these private entities knowing the government just wasn’t there in the beginning, and they’re playing catch up now.”

Tarlov then said, “Well, let’s be clear, the government was the one that got the first 40 Starlink satellites to get to North Carolina when Helene struck. That was the US government.”  She continued, “The government was on top of that. Now to say that what Joe Biden was doing was nakedly political removes the context of this, which is that the president United States of America is worried that people are listening to folks like Donald Trump, like Lara Trump.”
