Conservative talk show host Jesse Kelly awarded Colorado Representative Lauren Boebert with an award for “Hottest Woman In Congress.” Kelly said the two-term MAGA Republican narrowly edged out runner-up Alexandria-Ocasio-Cortez, the Daily Mail reported.
Kelly celebrated Boebert’s faux victory with a certificate misspelling her name “Boebart” and also presented her with a used Red Lobster gift card worth $27.43. Due to a House ethics rules from accepting gift cards, it was unclear if Boebert would even be able to keep the meager cash prize.
Boebert said “$27.43 is under the gift limit [allowed to Congress members], but if we check with ethics that it’s over, this is coming right back to you [Kelly].”
“Yes ma’am, I understand that. We’re gonna do the best we can to up that to $30 next year, depending on how the show does,” Kelly replied.
The Daily Mail also noted Kelly “claimed that Ocasio-Cortez complained about the award on Twitter, but the congresswoman has not made a statement about Kelly’s contest.”
The online U.K. journal also wrote that “House ethics rules state that gifts under $50 from non-lobbyists groups are generally ok for House members to accept, but cash or gift cards are prohibited from being accepted.”
Most left-wing outlets, perhaps due to their disgust AOC was defeated by a conservative, focused not on the humor of the award, but rather the misspelling of Boebert’s last name. The left truly has no sense of humor.

Newsweek covered the funny, if not meaningless, story, by closely examining the certificate Boebert received and spent a lot of time dissecting the spelling error.
Her “hottest” honor came courtesy of Jesse Kelly, a right-wing commentator who hosts a radio program as well as a show on The First, a digital-first TV network. Boebert recently appeared on his show, where she held up the award that has her name spelled as “Lauren Boebart.” In close-ups of the certificate, it appears as if someone tried to correct the misspelling with black ink by amending the incorrect “a” in her last name to the correct “e.”

Newsweek went on to comment that Boebert’s rise to real fame, aside from her good looks, is that she has been an outspoken voice for American freedoms and a constant critic of the Regime.
Newsweek wrote:
Boebert is a popular member of the Republican Party who has a reputation for her outspoken and sometimes controversial beliefs. Among other things, the Colorado representative is known as a fierce advocate of gun rights and even owns a restaurant where staff are encouraged to openly carry firearms. One of her recent divisive stances is her characterization of the House inquiry into the Capitol riots as a “sham witch hunt.”
Jesse Kelly awarded Boebert with the distinguished “Hottest Woman” accolades this past February. As we approach the one-year anniversary, who will get it next?
