Former NASCAR star-turned-supermodel Danica Patrick recently weighed in on President Donald Trump revoking Dr. Anthony Fauci’s security detail, approving the move. Patrick took to social media late last week, sharing a quote from Trump about the news, praising the move. Fauci had received personal security from the National Institute of Health (NIH) in 2020 given his role in the pandemic.
Known for her increasingly conservative commentary, Patrick said, “Damn right,” in response to the news on an Instagram story. Trump recently addressed the move to yank Fauci’s security during a press conference he gave while visiting Western North Carolina. The president maintained that public servants are not guaranteed a lifetime of taxpayer-funded security just because they work for the government. He also noted that others had their security details removed as well.
A reporter asked Trump at the North Carolina press conference, “The security detail for Anthony Fauci was terminated last night. And I’m wondering if you have any comment?” He responded, “I think you know, when you work for government … at some point, your security detail comes off, and you know, you can’t have them forever.”
Trump went on to say, “So I think it’s very standard, if it would be for somebody else, you wouldn’t be asking the question.” He added, “The question is very fair, but, you know, you work for government. We took some off other people too, but you can’t have a security detail for the rest of your life because you work for government.”
Notably, Trump asserted that he feels no responsibility if harm were to befall Dr. Fauci, noting he had more than enough resources to provide himself with his own security detail. Reports indicate that Fauci has hired his own private sector security after the move from the Trump administration. “They all made a lot of money. They can hire their own security too. All the people you’re talking about, they can go out, I can give them some good numbers of very good security people. They can hire their own security. They all made a lot of money. Fauci made a lot of money,” he said.
In early November, The American Tribune reported on comments from Patrick when she spoke at a Trump rally where she sounded off on Former Vice President Kamala Harris with three simple words. According to Patrick, this election was about more than a simple Republican vs. Democrat standoff, suggesting it was “good vs. evil.”
“I want to live in a country where I can say I love this country. I’m not making a political stand. I want to wear a t-shirt that says proud American, and it doesn’t say it isn’t telling people that I’m making a political stand about being a Republican,” she said, speaking to the crowd. “When I was a kid, I wore this cool leather jacket with an American flag on the back and USA on the arm. Somebody out there has had that right? If I wore that today, I’d be making a political stand. Why is that happening? Why is that not just being an American?”

“We’re not living in a time of Republican-Democrat we’re living in good versus evil, we’re living in right versus wrong. And I want to be on the right side of that history, because this is the most important decision that we will see in our life is getting Donald Trump into office,” she said, stressing how important the 2024 election was for America.
