An “unknown item” that was discovered in the West Wing of the White House, which forced a brief evacuation of the building on Sunday evening and resulted in a Hazmat team being sent to the president’s mansion has tested positive as cocaine, according to law enforcement officials and a dispatch call made the night the incident occurred.
“We have a yellow bar stating cocaine hydrochloride,” a DC firefighter said in a radio communication at around 8:49 p.m. on Sunday. This, as you might have already guessed, has led to a whole lot of jokes being cracked online about President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, as he’s struggled with addiction to drugs, particularly crack, a form of cocaine.
“Bag it up and take it out,” the firefighter instructed the Hazmat team. The white powdery substance was discovered in the library on the ground floor of the building, according to information gleaned from the dispatch call. Officials who are close to the situation spoke with the New York Post, and stated that cocaine was discovered in a holding area located in the West Wing. This area is only accessible by White House guests and staff members.
The Secret Service spoke with the Post and stated that they do “not comment on an active investigation,” before declining to provide further comment on the situation. Anthony Guglielmi, a spokesman for the Secret Service, released a statement saying further tests would be conducted in order to confirm that the substance found is indeed cocaine. President Joe Biden was away at Camp David at the time of the incident.
The Post stated that authorities are now in the process of trying to figure out how the white powder managed to get into the White House after an agent working for the Secret Service found it while conducting a routine sweep of the premises. Hunter Biden was on the White House grounds Friday before going with his dad to Camp David for the holiday weekend. You can guess what conclusion folks are drawing here. Both President Biden and his younger son returned to the White House on Friday.
The Post reported there has been a number of rumors floating around that Hunter Biden may have been staying at the White House in order to avoid being served court documentation by the mother of his illegitimate child. In his book, “Beautiful Things,” Hunter details the struggle he has had with cocaine over the course of his life, which he says got much worse after his brother Beau passed away in 2015.
A number of pictures and text messages were discovered on Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop that show him abusing cocaine, including one that shows him driving a vehicle at high speeds while smoking crack. The picture was dated as being from August 2018.
Just last month, Hunter Biden reached a plea deal with the DOJ on tax and gun charges, which includes a stipulation that he must remain drug-free for a period of two years, should it be approved by the judge presiding over the case.
