As First Lady Melania Trump’s public appearances have ramped up since the start of the year, she has been continually praised for her elegance and beauty. A clip of President Donald Trump and Melania from their New Year’s celebration at Mar-a-Lago gained traction on social media as users commented on how sharp the couple looked.
Footage was shared of Trump and Melania walking down the red carpet at the the Florida estate, in which the first lady was wearing a sleek, black dress that matched Trump’s dapper tuxedo. Commentators were quick to praise Melania, with conservative commentator, Yvette Herbert, writing, “Melania is stunningly beautiful, pure elegance.”
Offering similar praise, another commentator said, “Absolutely! A classy, stylish, and feminine first lady that we can be proud of!” Melania also received extensive praise for the various outfits she wore on Inauguration Day. Melania wore an elegant navy suit with a distinguished designer hat. The popular X account FLOTUS Report, which often covers Melania’s fashion news, reported on the outfit.
“First Lady Melania Trump wore a custom double-breasted navy coat by Adam Lippes and a matching boater hat by Eric Javits, both American designers, for this morning’s church services as part of Inauguration ceremonies,” FLOTUS Report said. “She completed this impeccable look with black leather gloves and dark blue suede Manolo Blahnik pumps. Melania’s look perfectly coordinated with her husband’s navy coat.”
The American Tribune also reported on Melania’s comments earlier this month regarding the transition plans for Inauguration Day. The first lady explained that the transition team has only five hours to move former President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden out of the White House and get her and President Donald Trump settled in.
Melania was asked during an interview with Fox News host Ainsley Earhardt, “Behind the scenes, what is it like when you’re moving back in the White House? What’s different this time?” Drawing on their knowledge from Trump’s first term, the first lady explained, “The difference is I know where I will be going. I know the rooms where we will be leaving. I know the process.”
Earhardt then asked, “How have the Biden’s been? Have they been accommodating, and are they still living there?” Melania confirmed that the Bidens had yet to move out of the White House, stating, “They’re still living there, and they will be out on January 20.” She added, “So what happened is, on January 20, the transition team has only five hours to move Biden’s out and to move us in,” Melania said.

The first lady proceeded to illustrate the sheer level of micromanagement that must occur. “So everything needs to be planned to the minute.” Further reflecting on their first term, she added, “I feel I was always me the first time as well. I just feel that people didn’t accept me. Maybe they didn’t understand me the way maybe they do now, and I didn’t have much support.”
