According to recent reports, Republicans have had strong early voting results in the Democratic stronghold of New Jersey. As Trump’s support has surged nationwide in the weeks leading up to the election, conservative voters in the Garden State turning out in massive numbers could signal a significant change in political sentiment in the East Coast state.
The New Jersey Globe reported that nearly 640,000 mail-in ballots had been returned with over 1 million votes cast so far, representing 15 percent of the total electorate in the state. Looking at the competitive 7th district, Republicans are leading Democrats in early voting by roughly 8,000 votes, or 46 percent to 30 percent. However, in terms of the total advance votes cast, Democrats still hold an edge of 44 percent to 34 percent.
At the statewide level, Republican lead Democrats in early voting 37.9 percent to 36.7 percent. Although, Democrats still hold a major lead on vote-by-mail ballots of 60 percent to 20 percent. The strong results for Republicans in New Jersey early voting have also been observed elsewhere in the country. For example, Nevada has seen a surge in early voters, giving the GOP a statewide lead.
“The PA Chase is working. How do I know that? Not only from anecdotal conversations and direct feedback at the door but let’s look at the numbers. If we compare 2020 at this time, compared to today for 2024, here are the specifics: Democrats are at 514,000 returns, Republicans are at 215,000 returns,” Maloney said, speaking about the success of the mail-in voting efforts.
The American Tribune has reported on other positive signs for the Trump-Vance campaign ahead of the election, where the crucial swing state of Pennsylvania saw a double-digit swing to the GOP in mail-in-ballot return data. Cliff Maloney, head of the conservative activist group, Pennsylvania Chase, outlined their efforts in the battleground state.
“I’m not talking about requests anymore, folks. These are actual Democrat voters. So, we have party registration by party — and so that’s public information. And so, we know that Democrats that have requested a ballot, 514,000 of them have sent their ballot back, Republicans have had 215,000,” he continued.

“Remember that Trump only lost Pennsylvania by 80,000 votes. Republicans are trending up 90,000, Democrats are down let’s say, 40,000 in a state that had a delta of 80,000. That’s why I’m very confident, but we’ve got to finish hard, we’ve got to go all in. We can not sit back on our heels, this is time to double down,” Maloney continued.
Further elaborating with historical context as to why this is important for the Republican Party, Maloney said, “In 2020, Trump lost by 80,000 votes, but 141,000 Republicans requested a mail-in ballot and never sent it back. The PA Chase aims to fix that problem, and we feel if we fix the problem, we win PA. We win PA, we win the entire White House.”
