“Sopranos” Actress Claims Belief in God Has led to “Discrimination” in America

“Sopranos” star Drea de Matteo recently stated in an interview that the far-left progressives who “own Hollywood” have turned fundamental American and Christian values, such as the love of “God” and “freedom,” into reasons for “discrimination.”

De Matteo was blackballed from the entertainment industry during the pandemic for refusing to take the COVID-19 vaccine.  Since then, she has used her platform to voice criticism toward leftism and the Biden administration.

She said, “Life imitating art, just for speaking out to the feds or whatever, you know?  But yeah, I’m sure that it was hijacked a long time ago. It’s new to me in the last three years to not be able to have a voice — not that I even tried to. I accidentally fell into this big-mouth role that I have now, and, man, the far-left is going to own me soon.”

De Matteo also echoed a widespread sentiment from the general public that President Biden does not possess the mental or physical fitness to serve as the commander-in-chief.  She also claimed Biden has intentionally been “used to divide people.”

“I think that the division in America is beyond — and I don’t think that we know really where it’s coming from,” de Matteo said. “I doubt that it’s just an old man who doesn’t even know he’s reading half the time. I don’t think he’s making any of these executive decisions on social issues.”

Furthermore, the “Sopranos” star sounded off on the culture the left has created, where concepts such as “God” and “freedom” now are given a negative connotation.  She continued, “I’ve been called every name under the sun. White nationalists — like, crazy things, but, you know, we forget about Guns n’ Roses, the Sex Pistols, Velvet Revolver. Madonna wore crosses on everything. I don’t know why the words ‘freedom’ and ‘God’ are sort of reasons for discrimination.”

“Now, these are four-letter words somehow, and I don’t know how we got here,” de Matteo said. “It’s too much. There’s no balance.”  The American Tribune reported on de Matteo’s recent appearance on Donald Trump Jr.’s Podcast “Triggered,” where she blasted the left.

According to de Matteo, many celebrities secretly oppose the Biden administration but are too fearful of backlash from the woke mob.  She explained that she initially wanted to avoid controversy, saying, “I really did want to fight, but I didn’t think I had, A, the voice, B, the balls.”  However, she suggested that things have changed since she “got thrown to the wolves.”

The actress further slammed the Biden administration for the division it has created by “hammering” its agenda on the American public.  She suggested that this has “petrified” the American public because there is no winning with liberals.

“This administration has just been hammering all of these things,” she said, “and people in Hollywood are petrified. What, are you going to speak out against race, and sex, and all of that stuff? People are afraid to have those conversations, because first of all, you never win with a liberal, you’re just never gonna win.”  Watch footage from the interview below:
