Snake Seen Flying from Ceiling Fan in Now Viral Video

If you have an irrational fear of snakes hiding in plain sight in your home, then this article is for you. You’ve heard the myths of snakes hiding in toilet bowls, gutters, or even sink drains, but have you ever seen one descend from a ceiling fan? You are about to. The horrific footage of a snake being flung at a human being by the blades of an indoor ceiling fan has been making its way around social media and is the epitome of a jump scare.

At the time of writing this article, the viral Instagram video has reached a whopping 12 thousand likes. The horrific scene was captured on a cell phone by a person who presumably lives in the house of horrors. The footage, which was taken in an undisclosed location, shows the reptilian monster sneaking down through a hole in the ceiling before hilariously being smacked multiple times by the fan.

Snake came out of the ceiling and even the ceiling fan could not cut it to pieces or at least swing it somewhere else. The fan had to swing it on the resident 😮

The giant snake, which appears to be at least three feet long, is then flung at high velocity toward the unsuspecting cameraman. Looking more like Spiderman than a snake, the danger noodle flew through the air with grace while presumably causing our cameraman’s heart to skip a couple of beats.

One Instagram commenter made the acute observation that the man filming the video might be the least lucky man in the world. The snake could have gone in any direction, with the fan spinning and having the capability of throwing the snake anywhere within 360 degrees. Somehow, the snake was launched directly at the camera and indirectly at the viewer.

You would be forgiven if you repelled from your phone upon watching the video. I sure did. The human brain is not prepared for a snake flying at 15 miles per hour directly into your eyes. As I’m sure was the case for our filming protagonist, the primitive part of our minds is awakened by the dangerous flying snake. Those things are scary enough on the ground.

This wasn’t the only viral run-in with a snake that a homeowner shared this past week. An Australian man was also confronted by a giant snake, this time a six-foot-long python, while trying to use his bathroom. The snake was found perched atop the shower door, forcing the man to remove the snake from his home with a hook.

According to the New York Post, the Aussie said, “Just treat them with respect and you will get respect back, but you don‘t want to find them when you’ve been on the toilet.” This is a shocking amount of cool that is befitting of a man that lives in an environment known for its terrifying wildlife.
