Woke activist Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) went on an unhinged rant, criticizing President Donald Trump’s America First immigration policy. During her speech, the Progressive caucus member characterized Trump’s immigration decisions as “illegal” and slammed him for “striking fear in the hearts of so many people.”
For context, Trump has long made securing the border a top priority in his political career, and with the help of Border Patrol Chief Tom Homan and Stephen Miller, has accomplished many of his ambitious goals. Not surprisingly, Democrats have opposed these sensible decisions and sued immigration to advance their political careers by going on embarrassing public diatribes.
Such was shown when Rep. Pramila Jayapal went on a lengthy woke screed. In a post to X, made on May 9, 2025, she uploaded a video of her meltdown. She whined, “I don’t think there’s a single member on this committee, or certainly not one in the room, that has been through the immigration system. There’s only 19 of us that are naturalized citizens that serve in the United States House of Representatives today.”
Still not done, she demanded special treatment. Jayapal added, “When we talk about immigration, I hope that my Republican colleagues will understand that those of us who came to this country to study to become US citizens, maybe to be fortunate enough to serve in the United States Congress, this is real for us, because we believe so much in the United States of America.”
Concluding her speech, the Democrat launched baseless allegations against the president. Rep. Jayapal declared, “So when the United States of America reneges on its promises and says to 1000s of foreign students who have been gracing our universities, gracing our research, our innovation, our creativity. And says, all of a sudden, the Trump administration says, Nope, you don’t get your visa anymore, even though it’s illegal what they’re doing, it has struck fear into the hearts of so many people.”
In the caption to this video, the disrespectful Democrat stated, “I’m an immigrant. I worked hard and made sacrifices and paid money and did what I needed to for 10 years to become a citizen and I am sick of watching the rules I respected and adhered to thrown away because of politics. Shame on you, ma’am.”
Reacting to her entitled attitude, conservatives swamped the comments of her post with indignant pushback. One such comment said, “I’m an immigrant. I came to the United States to study, become a citizen, and contribute because I believe so much in the promise of America. When Trump rips away student visas and terrorizes students, that hurts our entire country. So, you came to study, but actually stayed in the country, and now you’re lecturing real Americans about what their immigration policies should be. I can’t think of a better argument against immigration.”

Building on this point, another conservative took the Democrat to task for ignoring illegal immigrant crime. His comment read, “It hurts our entire nation when ppl like you try to blur the line between legal and illegal immigration, especially the criminal illegal immigrants that pray (sic) on the citizens of this country. We NEVER hear you talking about the victims of these crimes.
