In a crazed screed, Portland Mayor Keith Wilson demanded Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents resign, and the agency leave the city after federal forces used tear gas, pepper balls, flash-bangs, and rubber bullets on violent anti-ICE protesters outside a DHS facility from which they were operating.
Building on this point, the far-left Portland mayor condemned the “sickening” violence as unconstitutional, urging agents to reflect on gassing innocents and working for an agency tied to murders. Unexpectedly, the city is implementing a new ordinance to fine for the use of chemical agents against rioters.
Starting his overly dramatic whining, Portland Mayor Keith Wilson alleged, “Today, federal forces deployed heavy waves of chemical munitions, impacting a peaceful daytime protest where the vast majority of those present violated no laws, made no threat, and posed no danger to federal forces.”
Continuing by addressing DHS personnel directly, the irritating mayor ranted, “To those who continue to work for ICE: Resign. To those who control this facility: Leave. Through your use of violence and the trampling of the Constitution, you have lost all legitimacy and replaced it with shame.”
“To those who continue to make these sickening decisions, go home, look in a mirror, and ask yourselves why you have gassed children. Ask yourselves why you continue to work for an agency responsible for murders on American streets. No one is forcing you to lie to yourself, even as your bosses continue to lie to the American people,” he then further whined in his absurd statement.
Doubling down, Wilson vowed that neither his city nor the nation “will never accept a federal presence where agents wield deadly force against the very people they are sworn to serve,” seriously twisting the truth about what had happened at the riot in a desperate attempt to score political points against the ICE personnel.
Still not done, the leftist mayor then got to his demands they leave, warning that he’d be waging lawfare against the agents. He said, “I share the impatience with those who demand we use every legal tool at our disposal to push back against this inexcusable, unconscionable, and unacceptable violence against our community.”

“I share the need to act. Actions that can withstand the scrutiny of the justice system take time – and we cannot afford to lose this fight,” the Portland mayor asserted, adding, “As we prepare to put that law into action, we are also documenting today’s events and preserving evidence. The federal government must, and will, be held accountable.”
Bringing his ludicrous comments to a close, the unpopular official whined, “Portland will continue to stand firmly with our immigrant neighbors, who deserve safety, dignity, and the full protection of the communities they help build.”
Finally concluding his rant, the woke official stated, “We are also proud of the Portlanders who showed up today in peaceful solidarity, demonstrating the strength and clarity of those shared values in the face of federal overreach.” Watch the mayhem of the riots here:
Sadly, these remarks are all too typical of far-left mayors. For instance, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson alleged, “Nobody is above the law. With today’s order, we are putting ICE on notice in our city. Chicago is leading the way as the first city to create infrastructure for holding ICE and CBP agents accountable for crimes against our communities.”
