After a truly bizarre moment, where Isaiah Martin, a Democrat running for Texas’s 18th Congressional District, was arrested after refusing to yield to the microphone at a redistricting hearing, conservatives took to social media to mock the embarrassing display.
For context, during his absurd screed, he shouted, “America will rise up against you,” among other slogans. Martin’s political stunt shows the Democrats’ desperation to halt Republican led redistricting, which could yield five additional seats for the GOP in Texas.
As we reported, the congressional hopeful began his screed by saying, “Many of you that are Republicans, and I’m looking at you, you understand the game. You gotta get Trump’s endorsement. That’s the name of the game to be a Republican nowadays. And you know very clearly that Trump told every single one of you that he needs five seats.”
Screaming, the entitled Democrat continued his rant as he was escorted out of the building. Martin said, “It is a shame. It is horrific. For what you have …America will rise up against you!…no shame…history might not remember you at all.”
When a clip of the bizarre meltdown was posted to social media, conservatives leaped at the opportunity to mock Martin. One such comment read, “Democrats are rude and entitled liars.” Another laconic comment stated, “Another unhinged Democrat that needs his 5 minutes of fame!” Agreeing, one commentator said, “Well, he just ended up looking very stupid. Something wrong with these people and trying to get attention.”
Blasting the unhinged rant, another user noted, I’m old enough to remember a trait called PROFESSIONALISM! 🤦 It’s just a shame people can get away with acting like their in a bar room/club scene! Honestly this generation is a bunch of classless thugs! 😡” Building on this point, another user added, “The only way they get air time is to break the law! 🤦♂️🔥🤦♂️🔥”
Justifiably annoyed by the cheap theatrics, other conservatives attacked his lazy rhetoric. One such comment said, “Learn to respect the process. He could not and he got arrested. Zero problem with that. Another showboating Dem. Rules for thee but not for me.” Another user stated, “Without commotion and noise they are nothing. Get a damn platform and maybe you’ll be relevant. This isn’t it.”

Reacting to another video which showed additional context, one prominent influencer said, “Here’s the full video of Isaiah Martin from the point when his time expired to him being removed. As you can clearly see, he caused the scene. Martin is running for Congress. He did all of this as a cheap stunt. Democrat politicians like him are truly shameless.”
As we reported, while the congressional hopeful was arrested for his disorderly conduct, a post to his official social media account on July 25, 2025, indicates that he was released from jail. The account stated, “UPDATE: Isaiah will be released from Travis County Jail tonight. Thank you to everyone who personally reached out to help move the needle on his release. Nobody should be detained for their freedom of speech, and I’m grateful for the love and support.”

Using grand language to justify his embarrassing display, the Texas Dem claimed, “They did this because I had the audacity to speak up, and you know what? I’m gonna continue to have that audacity. Because strongly worded letters won’t get us out of this mess. It takes speaking truth to power no matter what the consequences are.”
