The Republican National Convention recently hired a former bikini model as the party’s newest spokeswoman. Manhattan native Elizabeth Pipko is a fierce supporter of former President Donald Trump and is ready to help him get reelected this fall.
The 28-year-old ex-model praised Trump’s character in light of the challenges he defies on a daily basis. “The things he’s been through have been unreal. A lot of people look at what he’s up against every day and see his real character,” Pipko said.
She further noted the importance of the upcoming election, claiming it to be the “biggest” in American history. Pipko stated, “This is one of the biggest elections in this country’s history.” The RNC spokeswoman also describes herself as a “proud religious Jew” with an educational background from Ivy League colleges such as Harvard and the University of Pennsylvania.
Pipko is also an accomplished author, having published three books. Detailing the roots of her ambitious personality traits, she hails from a family of Jewish Russian immigrants who came to the U.S. fleeing persecution. “Only in this country can a daughter of immigrants who arrived here with nothing get a chance to make some kind of a difference like this. So when you get that chance, you take it.”
Having been a part of the fashion industry, Pipko previously concealed her political affiliation to protect her modeling career. However, in 2019, she broke her silence, revealing that she supported Donald Trump and negatively impacting her career. “I lost everything – all of my connections,” she sad, which included agents, bookers, photographers and friends.
However, Pipko noted that her time in the modeling industry ultimately prepared her for Washington, where politics can be just as challenging. “I tell people my modeling career prepared me for politics, as they’re both equally brutal,” Pipko said. “Every world I’ve been in is cutthroat.”
The former model addressed speculation that she received the RNC role solely based on her beauty. However, Pipko stated that she uses her detractors as motivation. “I’ve always been the kind of person who wanted to prove people wrong,” she said.
Pipko further criticized the legal battles former President Trump is facing ahead of the 2024 election, likening them to the authoritarian regime in Soviet Russia her family fled from. She suggested they are politically motivated attempts to hinder a political opponent.
“But I think it’s less about him and what they’re doing to him and how this has happened in the greatest country in the world,” she said. “I think back to everything my parents told me about the former Soviet Union. It’s insane to think that this is basically what we’ve become in front of my eyes.”
“I grew up listening to their stories thinking it could never happen in the US, and yet here we are,” she added. Watch an interview Pipko gave several years ago, describing her move from modeling to working on Trump’s successful 2016 campaign that defeated Hillary Clinton.
