Reports Indicate Biden Bitter Toward High-Ranking Dems After Dropping Out

According to recent reports, President Biden is resentful toward high-ranking Democrats within his party after he was allegedly forced out of the race amid concerns that his campaign was incapable of defeating former President Donald Trump.  After Biden’s infamously poor performance in the presidential debate in late June, there were constant calls for him the withdraw from the race.

Reportedly, Biden is upset with former President Barrack Obama for not directly confronting him about dropping out of the race but instead utilizing his influence and working the back channels to force him into stepping down. Furthermore, reports indicate that the president is angry with top Democrats, such as former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), for their alleged role in ousting him.

Sources familiar with the matter claim that Biden views Pelosi as “ruthless” following the events that unfolded in the last month.  However, these very same Democrats have painted Biden as a selfless patriot who is putting his country’s interest above himself.  Reportedly, a celebration has been planned by the likes of Pelosi and Schumer for Biden at the DNC

“President Joe Biden is a patriotic American who has always put our country first. His legacy of vision, values and leadership make him one of the most consequential Presidents in American history,” Pelosi said last month, just after Biden announced he would be withdrawing from the race.  “With love and gratitude to President Biden for always believing in the promise of America and giving people the opportunity to reach their fulfillment,” she continued. “God blessed America with Joe Biden’s greatness and goodness.”

Acknowledging the tension in the aftermath of Biden’s drop out, former Biden administration press secretary Jen Psaki asked Pelosi, “Is there a way back for your friendship?” The former House Speaker responded, “In our family, we have three generations of love for Joe Biden. My husband and I, of course, we’ve known him for a very long time — respect him, love him and Jill. He and Jill are so remarkable, and their family. Our kids have always loved them. I had pictures with him from our children growing up and now our grandchildren growing up.”

However, Pelosi maintained that is was of the utmost importance for Democrats to defeat Donald Trump in the upcoming election. “But the most important thing we have to do is to win the election, just to sustain his legacy and to have the legacy be to do even more in the presidency and the vice presidency of Kamala Harris and Tim Walz,” Pelosi continued.
Furthermore, The America Tribune reported on other comments from Pelosi after Biden dropped out, where she suggested that Biden was “such a consequential president” who was worthy of being added alongside the American greats on Mount Rushmore.  “He was in a good place to make whatever decision – the top of his game.  Such a consequential president of the United States, a Mount Rushmore kind of president of the United States,” she said.
In the interview, she also maintained that she was not involved in a campaign to force Biden out of the race. “No, I wasn’t the leader of any pressure [campaign],” Pelosi said. “Let me say things that I didn’t do: I didn’t call one person. I did not call one person. I could always say to him, ‘I never called anybody.’”  Watch Pelosi’s comments below:
