In another potentially quite major blow to the woke judiciary establishment, Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX), a MAGA stalwart known for his justifiably harsh stance towards Trump tormentor Judge Boasberg, announced that his effort to impeach Judge Boasberg is moving forward once again and that he will attempt to force the GOP-controlled House to hold the judge accountable.
As background, in addition to his history of aiding and abetting lawfare against President Trump, when President Trump sought to use the Alien Enemies Act to deport members of the Tren de Aragua gang to Venezuela, Boasberg undermined the President’s authority by blocking him in what critics contend was an unconstitutional move.
More recently, it was revealed that Judge Boasberg was involved in the Biden DOJ’s illegal attempts to spy on Republican senators. Calling him out for that in a powerful video, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said, “That was an absolute abuse of power, and I am calling on the House of Representatives to impeach Judge Boasberg.”
Continuing, Sen. Cruz explained, “He is not being a judge. He is being a partisan, left-wing activist, and he needs to be removed from office. Biden DOJ issued a subpoena to spy on my phone records. That was a grotesque abuse of power, and Judge Boasberg, a left-wing activist who keeps issuing nationwide injunctions against President Trump, signed an order concluding that I and likely a bunch of other Republican senators were likely to destroy evidence and tamper with witnesses.”
Concluding his video, the senator again called on the House to begin the impeachment process against the woke judge, saying, “That was an absolute abuse of power, and I am calling on the House of Representatives to impeach Judge Boasberg. He is not being a judge. He is being a partisan left-wing activist, and he needs to be removed from office.”
Replying to Sen. Cruz’s video, which was posted to X (formerly Twitter) in a quote tweet, Rep. Brandon Gill quote-tweeted him and vowed to introduce articles of impeachment relevant to this alleged breach of the law, saying, “Senator Cruz is exactly right: Judge Boasberg needs to be impeached. I’m working on the Articles of Impeachment now.”
Then, in an all-caps statement released through the House Freedom Caucus, the MAGA Rep explained that it is time to stop the rogue judge from weaponizing the judiciary against his political opponents, saying, “RADICAL ACTIVIST JUDGE JAMES BOASBERG CONTINUES TO WEAPONIZE HIS JUDICIAL AUTHORITY AND TARGET HIS POLITICAL OPPONENTS.”

Adding to that, the representative explained, “JUDGE BOASBERG FACILITATED THE EGREGIOUS ARCTIC FROST SCANDAL WHERE HE EQUIPPED THE BIDEN DOJ TO SPY ON REPUBLICAN SENATORS.HIS LACK OF INTEGRITY MAKES HIM CLEARLY UNFIT FOR THE GAVEL.”
Many posters in the comments noted that, however good it may be for the House to make a point by beginning the impeachment proceedings against the rogue judge, it is obvious that there are not enough votes in the Senate to hold Judge Boasberg accountable for his obvious crimes.
