Recently, a Los Angeles boutique took matters into its own hands by publicly calling out individuals who had allegedly shoplifted from the establishment. Kitson, a popular clothing store, also blamed the Democratic leaders in California for the surging crime that has impacted the business.
After being plagued by constant shoplifting, Kitson began posting images of the suspected thieves on its windows, revealing their names in faces, shaming them in front of the broader community. The business took to its Instagram page, sharing a video blasting the criminal and local leaders.
“The new mugshot as no one gets arrested. Remember this when you vote. You steal from us we expose you to your friends, neighbors, family, and coworkers,” Kiston wrote in the caption where the video featured Rockwell’s hit song “Somebody’s Watching Me.”
Kitson owner Fraser Ross has consistently criticized California’s Democratic leaders, such as Gov. Gavin Newsom, for creating a political environment that fosters rampant criminal behavior in the state. Ross explained to Breitbart News that, while he does not affiliate with a specific party, he is just calling out what impacts his business and others like it.
“I’m neither Democrat [n]or Republican. I’m just stating what’s affecting small businesses,” Ross said in 2020. “I didn’t see one celebrity come and help do clean up [after the BLM riots]. They stayed in their houses and watched TV. We need to out these celebrities.”
Kitson also posted a video in 2020 that featured unflattering pictures on its window of prominent Democrats, such as former Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti (D), Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Hunter Biden, and Dr. Fauci. “Everyone was concerned that the other holiday window was taken down. So we wanted to give you a birds eye view of our windows. These people need to be held accountable for their actions! Shop local or there will be no local. Happy Holidays and please share with as many people you think would be interested!” the caption on the post read.
Furthermore, Ross recently called out Democratic Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, who was the victim of a burglary when her home was broken into. “If the suspect is homeless, she needs to house them in her home with her two guns. Maybe they wanted her expensive bright colored pantsuits,” the Kitson owner said.
The American Tribune reported on other California politicians who have been victimized by crime, which many have blamed their policies for promoting. Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) was recently robbed while visiting San Francisco for a fundraising event.
Popular conservative X account End Wokeness also documented several other high-profile incidents in which California’s elected Democratic leaders have been impacted by criminal activity. “California politicians are finally facing the ramifications of their pro-crime policies: LA Mayor Karen Bass was robbed on the weekend. It was the 2nd time in 2 years. Yesterday, San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan’s security detail was attacked on a live TV interview. In October, Oakland DA Pamela Price got burglarized and didn’t receive any police assistance. California Governor Gavin Newsom and California Senator Boxer (D) were both ambushed and assauIted in Oakland,” End Wokeness posted.
