Remaining Fox Fans Furious after Geraldo’s Latest Gun Control Claim

As Fox News Channels bleeds viewers in the wake of Tucker Carlson’s ouster from it, Geraldo isn’t doing anything to help retain viewers upset with FNC’s drift to the left.

In fact, he might have chased a few more away with his latest tweet about gun control, in which he said that those who support gun rights should have to pose by the bodies of victims of criminals using guns, saying:

“All politicians who pose with their AR-15’s should also pose with those gruesome piles of innocent victims.”

All politicians who pose with their AR-15’s should also pose with those gruesome piles of innocent victims.

    — Geraldo Rivera (@GeraldoRivera) May 7, 2023

Predictably, many of the commenters on Geraldo’s post were absolutely furious with that stance, saying things like:

“All proponents of gun free zones own everyone killed in a gun free zone since Columbine.”

“How does justice work if one person is responsible for another person’s actions? Oh, that’s right, it doesn’t. By holding this viewpoint, you undermine justice; you say it’s OK to be unjust against those you disagree with. This will inevitably lead to a dystopia.”

“All pundits who suggest guns act by themselves should have “this is a work of fiction” scrolling on the chyron beneath them.”

“You can def. See who works for the enemy and not the people of America.”

“Same with Presidents who send our children off to war to make money for bankers and weapons manufacturers.”

“So blame the gun and not the mass murderer who pulled the trigger?”

This isn’t the first time that Geraldo has infuriated people with his stance on gun control. He previously attacked AR-15s and called for them to be banned, as we reported on The American Tribune, saying:

President Joe Biden, during an MLK Day event, reverted to form in demanding gun control and once again threatening Americans with F-15s, saying “I am going to get ‘assault weapons’ banned. I did it once and I’m going to do it again. And ban the number of bullets that can go in a magazine. There’s no no need for any of that.“I love my right-wing friends who talk about the tree of liberty is watered with the blood of patriots. If you need to worry about taking on the federal government you need some F-15s. You don’t need an AR-15. Think about it.”

Well, Fox News Channel’s Geraldo Rivera decided to go full bore RINO and defend Biden’s pro-gun control comments and attack private ownership of AR-15s, saying “it makes makes Macho the people who possess it. ‘Oh, look at me. I’m a big deal’. And it’s not a right. It is an automatic rifle. “

Geraldo’s counterpart, trying to cut in, said “It is” repeatedly when Geraldo was saying that owning an AR-15 is not a right and then, when Geraldo said “It is an automatic rifle,” that counterpart said “No, that’s not what it is.”

Indeed. AR-15 rifles are, unless illegal or expensive, Class III modifications have been made, only semi-automatic. That means they can only fire once per trigger pull and are not actually “automatic rifles.”

But still Geraldo pressed on with the delusions and incorrect comments, saying “Well, I all I know is that AR-15s have no place in American society other than sport clubs. Okay. And I agree with him on that.”
