Red State University Leader Caught Gloating about Charlie Kirk’s Death, Saying He “Spoke His Fate Into Existence”

In the wake of the tragic assassination of conservative icon Charlie Kirk, Laura Sosh-Lightsy, the Assistant Dean of Students at Middle Tennessee State University, expressed no sympathy for the slain conservative. In her vile remarks, she alleged, “Hate begets hate. ZERO sympathy,” suggesting he caused his own murder at Utah Valley University.

Reacting to the situation, Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn called for her firing and praised Kirk’s influence on conservative youth. Similarly, State Representative Jason Zachary, an MTSU alum, decried Sosh-Lightsy’s lack of decency and called for her removal. Reacting to the public outcry, MTSU President Sidney McPhee later confirmed her termination.

In any case, the controversial school dean took to Facebook to make her heartless post. She noted, “Looks like ol’ Charlie spoke his fate into existence. Hate begets hate. ZERO sympathy.” However, these posts created a massive backlash from conservatives offended by the comments,

Firing back, Sen. Marsha Blackburn said, “Charlie Kirk was an inspiration for so many young people to speak up and work towards a better country, and nowhere was that more true than our college campuses. She should be fired tomorrow.”

Similarly, Rep. Jason Zachary condemned these comments and called for the dean to step down. He noted,  “As an MTSU alum, I’m disgusted. A person who has so little regard for basic decency, the value of life and then lacks the common sence (sic) to not post such vile, should NOT be in leadership at one of our universities.”

Still not done, he continued, “If you are a parent or student at MTSU, I encourage you to contact the school tomorrow requesting immediate action be taken. This person should not be employed in higher education in TN. I’ll be reaching out tomorrow as well.”

Reacting to the senseless killing, President Trump took to social media to memorialize the passing of his close friend Charlie Kirk. He stated, “The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie.”

Building on this point, Trump noted, “He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!”

Reacting to the unexpected loss, prominent Republican strategist Andrew Surabian mourned the passing of his friend. He explained, “Charlie Kirk was a close friend, a genuinely decent human being, an amazing family man and above all else, a man of deep personal faith in God. He was loyal to his friends, highly intelligent, and had world-class political instincts. In short, the world has lost a generational talent and an even better human being.”

Adding to his story, he said, “At the end of our dinner, we hugged and agreed we had to get together in person more often. But he had to go. He was hustling back to Boston to get on a red eye flight so he could be there when his kids woke up the next morning.”

Concluding his comments with a sober reminder, the strategist stated, “I never imagined that would be the last time I’d see Charlie, but I’m truly thankful that he insisted on us having that final meal. My heart breaks for his wife and kids, but he was a believer in God and we should all take solace in the fact that he is in a better place.”
