In a tragic case of woke ideology run amok, Oskaloosa High School art teacher Matthew Kargol was fired after posting “1 Nazi down” on social media, in celebration after the tragic assassination of conservative icon Charlie Kirk.
For context, he school board, prompted by Superintendent Mike Fisher, cited “substantial material disruption” to the learning environment, and noted that it received over 1,200 complaints. However, the entitled woke activist has sued his former employer and claimed his post was “rhetorical hyperbole,” not made during work hours, and did not incite violence.
In any case, even though the entitled art teacher posted, “1 Nazi down,” he had the temerity to claim that his post was merely “rhetorical hyperbole.” Additionally, his suit claimed that the firing was based on “was rooted in [Fisher’s] personal beliefs, not in evidence of disruption.”
Reacting to these heinous comments, Oskaloosa School Superintendent Mike Fisher spoke to local media, saying, “I’m not a person on social media. But many people are, and they were sharing screenshots, and our comms director was all over it, and we were seeing all the traffic and the things that were going on. So we knew we had to get involved.”
Additionally, Fisher explained the significant consequences of this situation and the callous remarks about Kirk. “This has created a substantial material disruption to our learning environment over the last 12 hours,” he explained in an additional statement.
Unfortunately, other public schools have faced similar issues. As we previously reported, Wynne Boliek, a now-fired teacher from South Carolina, engaged in a similarly insensitive tirade. He alleged, “Thoughts and prayers to his children, but IMHO [in my honest opinion] America became greater today. There I said it.”
Reacting to this case, Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) went on a social media tirade. “Greenville County Schools, we believe you may have some explaining to do. No one celebrating the loss of a human life should be allowed anywhere near children,” she announced.

Echoing these comments, Rep. William Timmons (R-SC) called for accountability, saying, “A public school teacher in my district is openly celebrating the horrific murder of Charlie Kirk. This is vile, hateful, and dangerous. No one who glorifies political violence should be allowed near students. He should be fired immediately.”
Reacting to the calls for justice, the Greenville County School District was forced to issue a statement. “We have concluded our investigation of the matter and confirmed the inappropriate message was written by Mr. Boliek. He is no longer employed with Greenville County Schools. We strongly condemn the message shared by the former employee as it does not reflect the standards we expect of our staff. We remain committed to upholding the values of professionalism and respect for our students, families, colleagues, and community,” the district revealed.
After Boliek was let go, Rep. William Timmons declared, “Let this serve as a warning: if you are a public school teacher in my district and you use your platform to spew vile, inappropriate content, you will be held accountable. Being placed on leave is just the first step.”
