Reality television star Jake Hall, most well-known for his time on “The Only Way Is Essex,” passed away in Spain at the age of 35 after smashing his head into a glass door during a villa party in Santa Margalida. Local law enforcement responded to a call at 7:30 a.m. on May 6, 2026, and found Hall dead in a pool of blood with fatal injuries that were caused by shards of glass after a hard night of boozing.

Police believe the 6-foot-4-inch celebrity smashed his head through the glass door. “Witnesses told investigators he had been out partying all night and decided to carry on the party back at the place he was renting,” a source told the media. “It appears from what police have been told that he became agitated, possibly from alcohol and other substances he may have consumed.”

The source then revealed that things “turned aggressive” saying that Hall might have “tried to harm himself by banging his head against things.” Neighbors reported hearing “loud noises” that vibrated the walls before police arrived on the scene. One neighbor spoke with media outlet Ultima Hora, saying that the partiers “hadn’t been causing problems” and seemed “relatively normal,” but did say he was worried about how one individual looked.

According to The Daily Caller, the neighbor said, “I began to hear a very loud noise, as if they were drilling something. They stopped after about five minutes and then I fell asleep.” Authorities questioned four men and two women who were staying at the residence. The group stated that they went out in the evening and kept the party going on the property into the early hours of the morning.

“We are focusing on the theory the victim died in a tragic accident after hitting his head against the glass door, but it is still too early to say definitely what happened,” a police source said. As of this writing, no arrests have been made in the case. The investigation into Hall’s death is being led by the Spanish Civil Guard. An autopsy is expected to take place in Mallorca’s capital, Palma.

Hall previously worked as a male model and fashion designer who became famous in 2015 after starring on “The Only Way Is Essex.” Hall is survived by his young daughter. One of the last posts on his Instagram account featured clips of him hanging out with his daughter, friends, and loved ones, with the caption, “Life is bollocks sometimes, but I’m gonna try to remember the good things.”

One of the comments on the post expressed sadness at the loss of Hall, saying, “Ahhhhh Jake. What a creative cool cat you are. I’m deeply sad and I’ll miss seeing your paintings, dancing and just utter coolness on Insta. Praying for your beautiful family and for River.” Another comment from someone who worked on Hall’s reality series read, “Heartbreaking news. Having worked on @towie for 16 years, this is devastating news for so many who knew Jake.
