Don Lemon has had a rough week after being fired from CNN. Lucky for him, rapper Rick Ross has devised a plan to get the former evening host back in the workforce.
Rick Ross, a chicken wing connoisseur who lives in Atlanta, says that he is confident that he could get Don Lemon a job making chicken wings at the chain restaurant Wing Stop. In a hilarious tweet that has since gone viral, Ross offered Lemon this generous position, saying:
“It’s the biggest boss in the game Rickie Rosé. Just found out Don Lemon was terminated from CNN. Damn, Don. But guess what? The brother’s got your back. We’re hiring at Wingstop, And for some reason, I feel like you know what you’re doing with them lemon pepper wings. Just send over your resume. I’m going to ensure I get you in front of the right grill. Stay solid brotha.”

Lemon was of course dejected to find out that he had been dropped by CNN at the beginning of this week. He posted an image of a statement regarding his dismissal from the company, saying:
“I was informed this morning by my agent that I have been terminated by CNN. I am stunned. After 17 years at CNN I would have thought that someone in management would have had the decency to tell me directly. At no time was I ever given any indication that I would not be able to continue to do the work I have loved at the network. It is clear that there are some larger issues at play. With that said, I want to thank my colleagues and the many teams I have worked with for an incredible run. They are the most talented journalists in the business, and I wish them all the best.”

Following this statement, the CNN Twitter account offered a rebuttal to Lemon’s claim that he was blindsided with his news. CNN Communications simply said:
“Don Lemon’s statement about this morning’s events is inaccurate. He was offered an opportunity to meet with management but instead released a statement on Twitter.”

According to a Fox News Digital report, many insiders at CNN were shocked that Lemon hung on to his job for as long as he manage to do so. The report says:
“Current CNN employees are also wondering why their network has kept Lemon on the payroll despite all the headaches.
‘“There are plenty of people just as talented and popular with viewers that are not such a heavy lift,” one CNN insider told Fox News Digital
“When asked whether Lemon is worth the trouble for CNN, another insider replied “I’m honestly not sure,” adding that it’s “no secret” that he has done “moronic things.”
“One insider close to CNN boss Chris Licht told Fox News Digital he thought the Variety report was “rough” while insisting it wasn’t substantiated, a position the network echoed in its response to the story.”
