President Donald Trump’s push to legitimately enforce immigration law and deport illegal aliens in the U.S., is causing these individuals to lose out on taking beach vacations, picnics, and other joys of life, at least according to fear mongering reports from pro-migration media networks and publications. These are the same ones twisting narratives to make those who support these efforts into vile racists and modern-day Nazis.
“A group of Latino friends and their families had a tradition they repeated every summer: traveling in a caravan to a North Carolina beach, renting a large house, sharing expenses, enjoying the ocean and cooking together,” a report from EnlaceLatinonc.org, dated August 8, 2026, said, being careful to keep the illegal status of the individuals it mentions a secret.
“But this year, they decided to stay home,” due to their illegal status in the United States, as it continued to give voice to a number of illegal immigrants’ complaints, quoting one female illegal alien who said, “We only visit people we know. We have a cookout or some kind of meal at home, organize games to have fun for a while and forget everything that is happening. We laugh, tell jokes, and that’s how we pass the time.”
“’We try to organize things at home with the children,’ one person responded. Another said they try to spend time with their family without going out. One mother said her children know that the park is no longer an option,” the article said. On August 9, Immigration and Customs Enforcement detained a group of illegal immigrants at a well-known picnic spot located in North Carolina.
The folks at The19thNews complained about the operation, going on to write, “Going to Wilson Creek in the Pisgah National Forest is something of a Sunday routine for many Latino families in this corner of the Appalachian Mountains. On a recent Sunday, [Venezuelan illegal migrant] Argenis Eduardo Torres Rosales joined other parents and children for a day outdoors.”
The report then stated that ICE agents were setting up a checkpoint in Caldwell County, North Carolina, meanwhile, this group of illegal aliens were living it up, having a great time swimming and having a picnic on the rocks, attempting to paint a picture of Rockwellian all-American bliss being had by those who were non-citizens and had no desire to contribute to the society to which they belonged.
“Rosales was sitting in his car when the agents approached him, his aunt said; according to an advocate, they had been stopping people and asking them for their citizenship status,” the report said, going on to add, “By late afternoon, Rosales and 12 others had been detained and separated from their families, including a father whose wife and children were stranded on the side of the road with no signal in the forest because she didn’t have a driver’s license.”

“As far as anyone could remember, this was the first-ever ICE raid in a national forest in North Carolina. It has since become a deterrent to immigrant families who were already underrepresented among visitors to national parks,” The19thNews story continued. According to another report from Breitbart News, both articles are extreme examples from a plethora of media pieces featuring sob stories produced by outlets that are openly pro-migration.
The Breitbart article pointed out that neither of the two articles discuss the massive price that American citizens pay for having a large population of illegal aliens living in the country. The cost includes lower wages, inflation, higher housing costs, as well as the horrors caused by an increase in violent crime and fraud. In places where ICE operations have been successfully executed, crime has decreased significantly, which, of course, isn’t a fact you see too often, if at all, in these reports.
