A Hollywood actress suggested she’s been ostracized by the movie industry for her pro-life views while making a powerful guest appearance on the Students for Life podcast ‘Speak Out.’ She went on to discuss the impact on her career as an outspoken advocate for the pro-life movement and even related an event in which she helped a woman decide to keep her baby.
Alexa PenaVega, perhaps most recognizable for portraying Carmen Cortez in the 2001 action-adventure Spy Kids and returning to the role three more times over the next decade, opened up on her beliefs in an unfiltered conversation lasting an hour and a half.
“I honestly believe that you either believe in life as a whole, and you see babies, whether babies are in the womb or outside of the womb, as life or you don’t,” PenaVega said at one point. “And… once life begins — that is a whole baby. That is a beautiful life, and for me, I will do whatever it takes to protect that.”
VenaPega’s comments are a breath of fresh air in an industry mired in woke identity politics and schilling for the Democrat machine. She continued, saying that the best thing she’s ever done is spend time with her kids
“I just told her about the joy that I have with my kids and the greatest thing that I ever felt was like being able to tuck them in at night and like seeing their beautiful little sleeping faces. … Those are moments that just are so life-giving. They’re so simple and yet they’re the most beautiful things you can experience as a mom.”
It was this philosophy that helped her guide a then-unknown young woman through a difficult part of life in which she was contemplating getting an abortion. VenaPega shared that a “well-known man” asked her to join a Zoom call to help contemplate what her options were and the joys motherhood would bring to her.
During the call, the pro-life actress offered to be there for the young person throughout her pregnancy and during her birth. Happily, she decided to keep the baby, and PenaVega said she still cries looking at photographs of the little girl, who easily could have been aborted if not for the support and advocacy of other people around her.
Louder with Crowder continued discussing the podcast and revelations, writing that PenaVega got into some rather gruesome details of many other actresses in Hollywood. LwC wrote:
In terms of working in the entertainment industry, PenaVega has heard some pretty gruesome stories. Some women have had so many abortions, they can no longer have children. And she did initially experience pushback for her views and some people declined to work with her. But PenaVega said she will never deny being pro-life: it’s something she will “go to the cross on.”

While Hollywood remains a gigantic cesspool of horrible ideas and limited offerings, it is nevertheless a good sign that more and more of its actors are courageously coming forward to share their values.
More prominent names than even VenaPega have recently disclosed that they too are fed up with the toxic culture. A-list actors Matthew McConaughy and Mark Wahlberg both moved their families out of not just Los Angeles but California at large, with Wahlberg saying he did so to provide his kids a better life.
Wahlbergh uprooted his family and crossed state lines to move to Nevada, where he will enjoy lower taxes, less crime, and stated he wished to build a Hollywood 2.0 with new values.
McConaughy transplanted his wife and kids to Texas for similar reasons.
