Pulling no punches in an epic soundoff on Truth Social, President Donald Trump hammered the Democratic Party as being “evil” and “corrupt” for refusing to pass his Big, Beautiful Bill, which would both cut taxes for working Americans and fund important border security measures, such as hiring thousands more border agents.
For reference, the BBB has turned into a big fight in Congress, with Democrats and RINOs doing their best to torpedo the bill as Trump and MAGA members of the legislature try to ram it through. While it appears success will come, eventually, President Trump has gotten increasingly angry over how Congress is slowwalking it.
Such is what the president was posting about on Truth Social on Saturday, June 28, saying that those who are trying to hold up his bill are the sort of awful people who have taken everything offered them and still won’t follow through on their promises or on doing what is necessary to save the country.
Beginning that post, the president led with the attacks from the start, saying, “Republicans must remember that they are fighting against a very evil, corrupt and, in many ways, incompetent (Policywise!) group of people, who would rather see our Country ‘go down in flames’ than do the right thing and, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
Continuing, the president noted that the bill has many important provisions, from funding border protection to cutting taxes, but that Democrats would rather see the opposite, tax hikes and open borders, occur. He said, “The Democrats would LOVE to see the Biggest Tax Hike in History (68%!), No Border Spending (Open Borders!), and a weak, underfunded Military, so we wouldn’t be able to do things like we did just one week ago in Iran.”
He then noted that the Democrats had been offered a debt extension because the country needed it, but now they won’t do the same for his administration. He said, “We gave the Dems a Debt Extension because it was the right thing to do, but they won’t do it for us. The one thing they do have is an ability to stick together, and vote as one group (They don’t have GRANDSTANDERS!).”
Further, he noted that Republicans don’t have the courage or temerity necessary to do what Democrats have done in the recent past to empower their leaders, which is a problem because it is kneecapping the effort to get the BBB passed. He said, “They also have House and Senate Rules that give Great Power to their Leaders – Committee Chairmanships, etc. Republicans don’t have that, have never been able to get it, BUT THEY SHOULD!”

Concluding, the president argued, somewhat funnily, that the GOP’s policies are the best and so the GOP should be winning elections every time they happen. He said, on that point, “What we do have is wonderful people and phenomenal Policy, and that should win Elections every single time!”
Fortunately, some Republicans appear willing to do what it takes to get the bill passed. For example, Sen. Tuberville is trying to get the Senate Parliamentarian fired because she is torpedoing important provisions of it in a very arbitrary manner. Watch him explain as much here:
