In a fiery series of obviously angry posts on Truth Social, President Donald Trump went nuclear on the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) for either making up a fake letter from him to Epstein or publishing a faked letter, insisting that he never wrote such a letter and that it had gotten itself involved in slander and libel against him.
As background, President Trump supported his Attorney General, Pam Bondi, when she decided against releasing the DOJ’s information on Jeffrey Epstein, his associates, and his operation, something that led to much outrage from MAGA, which remembered President Trump saying he would release the “Epstein list” while on the campaign trail.
The WSJ then jumped on the bandwagon against the president in an article in which it published a letter it claimed to have been from President Trump to Jeffrey Epstein for Epstein’s birthday. The letter appeared very out of character for the president in wording, tone, and its general nature, and President Trump immediately declared it to be a fake, slamming the WSJ as he did so.
Beginning his soundoff on Truth Social in the wake of the WSJ article, President Trump said, “The Wall Street Journal, and Rupert Murdoch, personally, were warned directly by President Donald J. Trump that the supposed letter they printed by President Trump to Epstein was a FAKE and, if they print it, they will be sued. Mr. Murdoch stated that he would take care of it but, obviously, did not have the power to do so. The Editor of The Wall Street Journal, Emma Tucker, was told directly by Karoline Leavitt, and by President Trump, that the letter was a FAKE, but Emma Tucker didn’t want to hear that. Instead, they are going with a false, malicious, and defamatory story anyway.”
Continuing, the president’s post noted that he would be going on the warpath against every company involved with the WSJ and would beat it to a pulp much as he has taken down other media outlets that have attacked him with libelous lies. He said, “President Trump will be suing The Wall Street Journal, NewsCorp, and Mr. Murdoch, shortly. The Press has to learn to be truthful, and not rely on sources that probably don’t even exist. President Trump has already beaten George Stephanopoulos/ABC, 60 Minutes/CBS, and others, and looks forward to suing and holding accountable the once great Wall Street Journal. It has truly turned out to be a “Disgusting and Filthy Rag” and, writing defamatory lies like this, shows their desperation to remain relevant.”
Concluding the post, the president noted that it is entirely unbelievable that such information would have only come out now, as Democrats have been trying to smear him for years. He said, “If there were any truth at all on the Epstein Hoax, as it pertains to President Trump, this information would have been revealed by Comey, Brennan, Crooked Hillary, and other Radical Left Lunatics years ago. It certainly would not have sat in a file waiting for “TRUMP” to have won three Elections. This is yet another example of FAKE NEWS!”
Then, in a post fired off shortly afterwards, the president announced that AG Bondi would be releasing the grand jury testimony it has about Epstein, which he claimed would put to rest all the rumors about the Epstein operation. He said, “Based on the ridiculous amount of publicity given to Jeffrey Epstein, I have asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to produce any and all pertinent Grand Jury testimony, subject to Court approval. This SCAM, perpetuated by the Democrats, should end, right now!”

Later on, the president returned to the matter of the alleged letter and noted that it’s obviously not something he would write, as it is entirely unlike how he speaks. He said, hammering the letter as a fake, “The Wall Street Journal printed a FAKE letter, supposedly to Epstein. These are not my words, not the way I talk. Also, I don’t draw pictures. I told Rupert Murdoch it was a Scam, that he shouldn’t print this Fake Story. But he did, and now I’m going to sue his ass off, and that of his third rate newspaper. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
And, vowing to destroy Murdoch and his WSJ in a lawsuit over the paper’s total lies and publishing of a knowingly fake letter, the president wrote, “I look forward to getting Rupert Murdoch to testify in my lawsuit against him and his “pile of garbage” newspaper, the WSJ. That will be an interesting experience!!!”
