Speaking in a powerful speech during a press event hosted by the Trump Administration to rally support for the “Big, Beautiful Bill,” Trump Administration Border Czar Tom Homan went nuclear on those who are trying to leave the US-Mexico border open and undefended, exposing that leaving it open was a matter of choice and it is now time to close it.
That powerful speech apparently came off the cuff, as Mr. Homan was invited on stage by President Trump in something of a surprise moment. The president said, “I wasn’t going to do this, but I see Tom Holman is sitting there, and, you know, I have to call him up. Look at that. I don’t call up the Speaker of the House. I don’t call up Marco or Peter anywhere. But I want to call this guy, because this guy is keeping us very, very safe. Come on up.”
Beginning, Homan attacked the RINOs and Democrats for holding up the “Big, Beautiful Bill” (BBB), as it would enhance border security and end the bloodshed seen as Americans are attacked by illegalls. He said, “Well, look, I think this issue, the big, beautiful bill, should be non-partisan. I don’t know how what the hell is mattering with everybody up in Congress, people are dying every day.”
Building on that, he noted that while ICE and DHS are doing what they can to take criminals off of America’s streets, right now they are significantly outnumbered and so making slow progress. He said, “We’re taking public safety threats and national security threats off the street every single day. We got over 600,000 illegal aliens with criminal histories walking the streets of this country. We got less than 5000 deportation officers.”
Continuing, he said that the bill should, as a result, be a “no brainer” in that it ramps up the ability of border and immigration authorities to take down illegal aliens. He said, “This should be a no brainer. The more resources we get, we get this bill passed. We got more agents on the road. We buy more beds, we get more transportation, flights, more agents mean more bad guys arrested taking off the streets of this country every single day, every day we arrest a public safety threat or national security threat.”
Emphasizing that point and calling out those who would leave America open to continual and future attack, Mr. Homan then said, “This makes this country much safer. Who the hell would be against that? And I get irritated. I get pissed off because I’m sick of meeting Angel moms and dads. You want to talk about family separation? They buried their children.”
He then added, on a somewhat more positive note, that the current state of border security is the best he has ever seen in decades of border defense work, saying, “So I’ve done this since 1984 I’ve worked for six different presidents. No one has had the success of the Trump administration. We got the most secure border in the history of this nation.”

Still not done, Homan then turned that into a call for more resources, saying that the funding necessary for not just more agents but the border wall, things the BBB would fund, are needed. He said, “But we need more border wall. Border walls save lives. Women and children can’t get over that wall, which means they go to a place there’s not a one what’s waiting on them.”
Commenting on the fentanyl and human trafficking issues as further evidence for the need of more funding for border defense initiatives, saying, “We already got fentanyl seizures down half. Fentanyl seizures should be 100% we should have zero fentanyl come in this country. We need money to help secure that border at higher level. Stop the fentanyl from coming in stock the stop the sex trafficking of women and children. Stop the known, inspected terrorists coming across that border right now.”
