President Joe Biden traveled to Pennsylvania for a campaign visit on Friday, March 8. During that campaign trip, he stopped and gave a speech at Wallingford, PA’s Strath Haven Middle School. As could be expected from Biden, the speech was hardly free of errors despite his using a teleprompter, with some of the gaffes and odd remarks being particularly bad and noteworthy.
In one, for instance, he called on voters to send him to Congress, and in another, he had an awkwardly phrased comment about the national debt and potato chips. In yet another, Biden yelled about how America’s “freedoms” came under attack on July 6th, by which he meant January 6, 2021, when the Capitol riot occurred, as he quickly corrected himself and said.
in that portion of his speech, Biden said, “Folks, our freedoms are really on the ballot. Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans are trying to take away our freedoms. Guess what? We will not let him. We will not let him.”
Continuing, he said, “Last night, the US Capitol, the same building where our freedoms came under assault on July the 6th … excuse me, January the 6th, we talked about another Alabama. 14 months ago, she and her husband welcomed a baby girl thanks to IVF and scheduled treatments to have a second child. But the Alabama Supreme Court shut down treatments and, overturning Ro v. Wade, and what she went through should never have happened.”
He added, “You know why it happened? One reason, Donald Trump, he came to overturn Roe v. Wade. He got his wish and states are passing basn, criminalizing doctors, forcing…and MAGA Republicans want to pass a national ban on the right to choose, period. Take it seriously folks, let met, this will not happen on my watch!”

Predictably, many on X (formerly Twitter) had fun poking fun at Biden over the remark. “July the 6th will now be remembered as a day that will live in infamy. Worse than Pearl Harbor and 9/11. The democrats will have to add this new date brought up by Joe Biden to their calendar,” one commenter joked. “Was it June 6th or July 6th?” another added.
