On-Air Anchors Have Priceless Reaction When Learning About Don Lemon’s Firing

News of Don Lemon’s firing from CNN broke shortly after Tucker Carlson’s departure from Fox had been made public, and if there is any final pleasure to be taken from that, it’s that Lemon couldn’t even make big headlines the day he got canned.

People are just so over the smug, self-aggrandizing, woke, virtue-signaling loser that the best part of his firing wasn’t so much that he got fired, but that no one noticed that he got fired. And at this point, it was just a matter of time; the dude has gotten wrapped up in more scandals than perhaps anyone in cable television, and yet he somehow clung to a paycheck?

Get out of here with that garbage.

For the few remaining people that did care, or were somehow oblivious to Demoted Don’s repeated co-worker snipings, the reaction in real time was priceless. One echo-chamber dweller by the name of Colby Hall – who??? – appeared to be the last person on Earth who could be surprised to hear of Lemon’s ouster.

Take a look at this priceless reaction:

“Did anyone see this one [Lemon’s firing] coming? Hall is asked by the female lead.

“Wow,  umm, well, I knew that, um, as, um, that’s stunning,” Hall said off the cuff, clearly not ready to win a Pulitzer in journalism.

“I had spoken to Don recently and he was worried about that very thing, stemming from the moment, was it December? I can’t remember specifically what it was. Not December. About two months ago he made fun of Nikki Haley. Nikki Haley had said that, um, there should be, um, every candidate, um, shouldn’t be past their prime,” he managed to gasp.

“He said that no woman – every woman over forty are past their prime. I know the top execs at CNN were really concerned. They liked Don, he was a star at CNN. He, um, the – He was famous for saying things off the cuff that got themselves in trouble. But that comment stuck a dagger in the target viewer of cable news morning programming,” he finished.

Yikes, get that guy a teleprompter. Who watches NewsNation? This was unbearable. Just to recap, he allegedly spoke to Lemon himself, knew about the Nikki Haley comment, knew he’d been demoted to the thankless AM shift, presumably knew about the other stuff between his co-anchors, and couldn’t read the writing on the wall?

    What a clown show.

There is then the fact he considered Lemon a star. Yeah, maybe in his mom’s universe. Veritable stars like Tucker Carlson draw in more than 3 million viewers regularly on a nightly basis. “Stars” like Don Lemon pull in fewer than a million and get relegated to 5:00 am time slots and muster a couple hundred thousand. Colby Hall probably thinks Brian Stelter did real journalism too.

The Daily Caller reminded readers of the scandal referenced by Hall, writing:

Lemon came under fire after exclaiming in a Feb. 16 episode of “CNN This Morning” that Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley is past her “prime” age. The former anchor issued an apology later that day and said he regretted making an “irrelevant” point about a woman’s age.

Lemon underwent “formal training” for the remarks, which CNN President Chris Licht reportedly condemned during an editorial meeting the following day.
