An Ohio man accused of murdering his three young sons on June 15th had a shocking reaction revealed on police bodycam. Chad Christopher Doerman, 32, was arrested and charged with three counts of aggravated murder. The man allegedly lined up and shot his children, 3,4 and 7, execution-style in the family’s yard.
The heinous nature of the crime has shocked the Cincinnati suburb of Clermont Township, where the alleged killer lived with his wife and three young boys. However, as the police released bodycam footage, what the footage revealed was almost as disturbing.
As officers arrived on the scene, weapons drawn, Doerman appeared to be sitting calmly on his front step, rifle by his side. As officers sought cover and approached, they instructed the suspect to show his hands and stand up.
As if he couldn’t hear them or didn’t care, Doerman simply sat still on the step. With blood on his arm and in his sock feet, deputies grabbed the man and put him on the ground, where they then cuffed him.
The scene was nightmarish, as the boy’s lifeless bodies were strewn on the lawn. After cuffing the suspect, officers attempted to render aid, but all three boys were already gone. Officers determined, based on the scene and location of the victims, that Doerman lined the boys up and shot the first two execution style. When the third child fled, Doerman chased him down, brought him back, and proceeded to shoot him as well.
As officers surveyed the gruesome scene, deputies attempted to question the alleged killer. His demeanor and responses were chilling. As he is cuffed on the ground, Doerman said: “Can I roll over? I ain’t gonna hurt ya. I ain’t gonna hurt nobody.”
The officer pressed Doerman for answers: “What’s going on, man?”
Doerman’s reply is shocking: “Nothing, can I stand up? It’s kind of uncomfortable.”
After picking him up, as he was being escorted to the cruiser, Doerman continued: “Can you get the wallet out of my pocket?
At that point, one of the officers, clearly disgusted, said: “Shut up, dude – you have the right to remain silent. F—ing use it.”
Doerman was also accused of wounding the children’s mother in the horrific attack. She was being treated at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

During his arraignment Friday, prosecutors revealed that Doerman allegedly confessed to lining the boys up, committing the crime, and actually dragging the lone surviving child back into the yard to kill him.
David Gast, criminal division chief of the Clermont County Prosecutor’s Office, gave this heartbreaking statement: “This is the man that, every day, they woke up looking to for protection, love, guidance, a man they trust more than any other person on earth, a person they rely upon to keep them safe from harm. He was their world, he was their guardian, and he executed them in cold blood. We know that from his admission.”
No motive has yet been given for the murders, and Doering is being held on a $20 million dollar bond, the highest in Clermont County history. The mother suffered a gunshot wound to her hand as she attempted to thwart the attack. She is expected to make a full recovery. Thoughts and prayers for the family of the three slain boys.
A GoFundMe has been set up by the boy’s aunt to help with funeral costs. The link can be found here.
