Leftist Soccer Player Megan Rapinoe Attacks the Rock

Hot off the heels of not getting to play in a big tournament because of her terrible performance during the summer Olympics and general nastiness, Megan Rapinoe is back in the news for being nasty, this time attacking one of America’s favorite pop culture icons: the Rock.

That happened on Twitter after the spring football league called the XFL, a league that’s partially owned by Johnson, revealed its mission statement in a recent campaign. Here’s the logo:

Johnson, speaking about the logo in a press statement around the time of its release, said:

“This is a new era of the XFL. We have a clear vision and want to continue to push the boundaries of sport and entertainment, while – most importantly – unlocking the dreams of all the talented and hungry football players out there. We believe the XFL has the ability to extend beyond just  football, and we’re eager to bring everyone along with us on this journey.”

“For us, this is more than just a new pro football logo; this is a new era of the XFL. You can already begin  to feel the energy and mana building behind our brand, and it has been amazing to feel the incredible support from fans, players, coaches and media, that we continue to be blessed with. Here’s the bottom line of what our new XFL  logo stands for: The X represents the intersection of dreams and opportunity. So, to our hungry XFL  players, coaches and fans – you bring the dreams, and we’ll bring the opportunity.”

Seemingly deciding that she needed to insert herself into the situation and prove just how difficult and unfun she is, Rapinoe posted a screenshot of the XFL’s announcement on Twitter and claimed that the logo looks similar to one that she and her “wife”, WNBA “star” Sue Bird, created: TogethXR. Speaking on that, the far-left soccer player said:

“Welp. This is awkward. Only thing The Rock and XFL are gonna be cookin up is a response to the Cease and Desist and an ENTIRE new brand ID. TogethXR got this on [lock] boys.”

Welp. This is awkward. Only thing @TheRock and @XFL2023 are gonna be cookin up is a response to the Cease and Desist and an ENTIRE new brand ID. @togethxr got this on 🔒 boys. pic.twitter.com/klItJO2fJ5

Her “wife” tweeted about the same thing:

    Well doesn’t this looks familiar 🧐🥸@XFL2023 @togethxr @TheRock pic.twitter.com/MDv77qypYE

Breitbart News, reporting on the situation and noting the nastiness of Rapinoe’s tweet, said:

A tweet does not serve as a legal document, and if Rapinoe intends to take legal action against “The Rock,” she will have to file a legal document. Though, one imagines that if Rapinoe had privately reached out to Johnson about her concerns, the matter could have been resolved without making it public.

Then again, discretion and displays of respect are not exactly Rapinoe’s strengths.

No they are not, and through the lens of her impossibly difficult personality, it’s quite easy to imagine her foregoing any attempt at peacefully getting along with a very masculine figure and instead trying to ruin everyone’s fun with a lawsuit over her entirely unknown brand. In fact, such a course of action seems exactly like what one would expect from Rapinoe.
