It would appear that the accusations hurled by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard at key Obama-era officials regarding their complicity in the Russia Hoax, actions that she alleges qualify as treason, have set those officials off, with the various Deep State apparatchiks she has accused freaking out in response.
As background, DNI Gabbard stunned the nation when she started publishing declassified documents that backed up her claims that the various officials involved engaged in treason and a coup attempt against the president. The declassified documents have had to do with the beginning of the Russia investigation that so bedeviled the first Trump Administration.
In her original, document-based screed attacking the officials like former FBI Director James Comey, former CIA Director John Brennan, and former DNI James Clapper, Gabbard said, “On January 6, 2017, just days before President Trump took office, DNI Clapper unveiled the Obama-directed politicized assessment, a gross weaponization of intelligence that laid the groundwork for a years-long coup intended to subvert President Trump’s entire presidency.”
Continuing, she noted how they used a collection of intelligence they knew to be false to push the presidency-destroying accusations and investigation, saying, “According to whistleblower emails shared with us today, we know Clapper and Brennan used the baseless discredited Steele Dossier as a source to push this false narrative in the intelligence assessment.”
Revealing what the intelligence she has gathered shows, Tulsi then noted that Obama and his top officials engaged in “treasonous conspiracy” against the president, saying, “These documents detail a treasonous conspiracy by officials at the highest levels of the Obama White House to subvert the will of the American people and try to usurp the President from fulfilling his mandate.”
According to a report in NBC News, the accusations have started to hit home, and various named and unnamed officials are freaking out. For example, the outlet reported that one anonymous former Obama official said the Deep State is trying to downplay the revelations so the public doesn’t start thinking more deeply about the stunning revelations, saying, “The battle now is to play this even to make sure that thoughts don’t start to creep into more mainstream.”
Similarly, John Brennan insisted that it was the fact that accusations were made by DNI Gabbard that is “troubling,” not the fact that he and other high-ranking officials might have committed treason for partisan political reasons. He began, “I don’t know what is ahead, and I don’t know what their plans and intentions are. I just find all of this very troubling when it is being done by individuals who serve in such important positions and know what they are doing is wrong.”

Continuing, Brennan insisted that the very clear documents Tulsi has provided showing horrid, likely very illegal behavior on his part are “mischaracterized,” telling the outlet, “There is no factual basis for the allegations that Tulsi Gabbard is making. She’s cherry-picking things from various documents that are out of context and mischaracterized.”
Brennan further added, once again lying in a desperate, obviously panicked attempt to cover for himself as the dire truth of his behavior becomes exceedingly clear, “To me, it’s clear either she has not read the intelligence community assessment or she is purposely, willfully lying about the contents.”
Similarly, James Clapper told CNN, “It’s very disconcerting. It really is. And I take seriously when the president of the United States accuses me of being a participant in a treasonous conspiracy, which is ridiculous.” He added, “I’ll lawyer up, I suppose. Already have.”
Even Obama himself freaked out, doing so in a statement released through spokesperson Patrick Rodenbush. That statement from the former president said, “Out of respect for the office of the presidency, our office does not normally dignify the constant nonsense and misinformation flowing out of this White House with a response.” Obama added, “But these claims are outrageous enough to merit one. These bizarre allegations are ridiculous and a weak attempt at distraction.”
