NYC Socialist Zohran Mamdani Exposed for Raking In Huge Illegal Donations from Hundres of Foreigners

Controversial self-described socialist Zohran Mamdani has faced significant criticism for taking nearly $13,000 in potentially illegal foreign donations, violating U.S. laws that restrict contributions to citizens or permanent residents.

For context, while the woke candidate has returned some of the funds, 88 donations totaling $7,190 remain unreturned. The campaign, which raised $4 million privately and $12.7 million publicly, faces scrutiny from Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa, who suspects “dark money” funneled through shady super PACs.

In any case, defending the controversial candidate, his campaign announced, “We will, of course, return any donations that are not in compliance with CFB law.” Similarly, Nupur Amin Marquardt, a donor, alleged, “It’s the only campaign I’ve seen that’s not trying to win by convincing a group of people to hate another group of people.”

Firing back at these claims, Curtis Sliwa, the Republican mayoral candidate, announced, “Where there’s smoke, there’s fire, so I would be very concerned. It’s very problematic, not just for Zohran Mamdani, but anybody who has these kinds of PACs, because it’s a license to illegally funnel money.”

Similarly, on social media. Conservatives were enraged by the apparent corruption. “Socialist New York mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani took $13,000 in illegal foreign donations for his campaign, the New York Post has found. His opponent, Curtis Sliwa, called on the Department of Justice to investigate his suspicions that Mamdani is receiving “dark money” funneled into super PACs illegally by foreign nationals, a large social media account noted.

Summarizing the situation, another conservative said, “Republicans are demanding an immediate investigation into NYC mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani after it was revealed he took thousands of dollars in potentially ILLEGAL foreign donations. Imagine that. The Ugandan communist may not be playing by the rules.”

As we reported, Mamdani has faced sharp criticism from Republicans before, including when he weathered a blistering storm from Tom Homan for supporting sanctuary city policies that shield illegal immigrants from ICE and CBP.

While Mamdani has promised to fight against ICE raids, Homan accused him of several federal crimes. Beginning his courageous condemnation, the border czar said,  “He [Mamdani] needs to do his homework… ICE don’t do operations at schools, churches, or hospitals. He’s fear-mongering.”

Bringing the receipts to school the entitled Democrat pointed out the consequences of his claims. “The law says it’s a crime to enter this country illegally… It’s a crime to knowingly harbor an illegal alien. So we’re gonna enforce the law,” Homan said.

Homan: “He can stand by and watch, but he’s not going to stop us from doing our operations.  We’re going to flood the zone in New York City… we gotta go into the neighborhood and find ‘em. When we find that bad guy, if he’s with others who are in the country illegally, they’re coming too.”

Firing back, Mamdani melted down in disgraceful fashion. “We know that it [crackdown] has nothing to do with safety. It has to do with punishment. We are fighting to keep this city a sanctuary city,” he theatrically complained at a rally.
