NY AG Letitia James Rocked by Another DOJ Investigation, This One Into Her Politicized Lawfare Attacks on Trump and Others

Reacting to numerous calls from President Donald Trump and conservatives nationwide, the Department of Justice, under Attorney General Pam Bondi, has launched a grand jury investigation into New York Attorney General Letitia James for her biased behavior in a $454 million civil fraud lawsuit against Donald Trump.

For context, the DOJ is focusing on potential deprivation of rights and also examining her so-called case against the National Rifle Association. James’ office has received subpoenas, prompting a widespread meltdown from her supporters and allies.

Such was shown when Abbe Lowell, an attorney for Letitia James, issued a breathless statement on the grand jury investigation. She whined, “Investigating the fraud case Attorney General James won against President Trump and his businesses has to be the most blatant and desperate example of this administration’s carrying out the president’s political retribution campaign.”

Lobbing baseless allegations against the Department of Justice, she continued, “Weaponizing the Department of Justice to try to punish an elected official for doing her job is an attack on the rule of law and a dangerous escalation by this administration. If prosecutors carry out this improper tactic and are genuinely interested in the truth, we are ready and waiting with the facts and law.”

A spokesperson for the controversial Democrat echoed similar sentiments. James’s spokesperson claimed, “Any weaponization of the justice system should disturb every American. We stand strongly behind our successful litigation against the Trump Organization and the National Rifle Association, and we will continue to stand up for New Yorkers’ rights.

In a desperate attempt to defend herself, James claimed that Trump’s trial was fair and denied the persistent rumors of special treatment. She complained, “If average New Yorkers went into a bank and submitted false documents, the government would throw the book at them, and the same should be true for former presidents.”

As you can imagine, there is no love lost between the president and the disgraced New York official, and Trump has given several heartfelt denunciations of her conduct. He stated, “This is a political witch hunt, and I think she should be ashamed of herself.”  Similarly, he quipped, “Letitia James, a totally corrupt politician, should resign from her position as New York State Attorney General, IMMEDIATELY.”

Other popular Republicans, such as Special Advisor Stephen Miller, have gone after Letitia James repeatedly for her biased and corrupt actions. In a recent statement, he noted, “Letitia James is one of the most corrupt, shameless individuals ever to hold public office. She’s guilty, not only of those crimes, but of countless more crimes by using and abusing your public office to try to persecute an innocent man.”

Describing her actions against the president, he continued, “Depriving him of his rights, engaging in a conspiracy to obstruct our election and to overthrow our democratic processes and procedures. She is guilty of multiple significant serial criminal violations.”

These comments triggered an epic response from the New York AG, who whined, “Let me just say to all New Yorkers and to all Americans, the allegations are baseless. The allegations are nothing more than a revenge tour. And as you mentioned, my office was successful in securing a $454 million judgment against Donald Trump and others for exaggerating the value of his assets.”
