Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-GA) has filed articles of impeachment against Judge Eleanor Ross over her courthouse sexual deviancy, once again revealing the Republican Party’s dedication to eradicating corruption and moral bankruptcy at every level of government. Clyde alleges that Ross, who is a sitting District Judge for the Northern District of Georgia, had an affair with a high-ranking police officer from Atlanta and then made false statements about the relationship during a judicial misconduct investigation.
In the impeachment resolution, Clyde said that Ross “participated in an extramarital affair with high-ranking Atlanta Police Department officer Kelley Collier.” The Republican congressman wrote in the resolution that Ross and Collier “engaged in intimate contact, including, by admission of Judge Ross, sexual intercourse,” and that the judge’s conduct “demonstrated a gross lack of judgment and created an uncomfortable and troubling workplace for staff members.”
Sickeningly, Clyde revealed that former clerks allegedly “heard sounds resulting from the intimate contact coming from Judge Ross’ chambers.” The impeachment resolution also alleges that Ross’ affair also led to a conflict of interest due to the officer’s department regularly having matters heard before the court Ross presided over.
According to a report from The Daily Caller, Ross later spoke with court staff and confessed to having “too many martinis” at an event held the prior evening before presiding over a criminal proceeding in her courtroom. Lawmakers are also alleging that the affair “left Judge Ross vulnerable to extortion” because neither her spouse nor the officer’s spouse were aware of the sexual relationship between the two.
The resolution also mentions Ross’ attendance at a campaign event that was hosted by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis. This was the event at which the judge had “too many martinis” before going on to preside over a case. Ross is also accused of making “numerous, material false statements” during a judicial misconduct investigation, which lawmakers say could be a felony.
At first, Ross denied the allegations made against her, writing, “I have never engaged in sexual intercourse in my office, nor anywhere else in the Courthouse.” She also allegedly spoke with investigators, telling them she was “not sure who this allegation concerns,” before also claiming she was “astounded and confused” and had “no idea what this clerk is referring to.”
However, lawmakers say the statements are essentially obstruction, alleging that Ross made “affirmative attempts to prevent the Chief Judges from learning of her misconduct” and ultimately “subverted the integrity of an official proceeding.” Clyde, in a statement to the Daily Caller, explained that, “When judges become political activists or engage in judicial misconduct, Congress bears both the responsibility and the constitutional authority to hold them accountable.”

“Judge Ross’ deeply disturbing actions prove she is incapable of displaying integrity or showing impartiality. She’s simply unfit to remain a U.S. District Court Judge for the Northern District of Georgia, which is why I’m leading the charge to impeach Judge Ross and ultimately remove her from the bench,” the congressman added. Ross was appointed to the bench by former President Barack Obama in 2014.
