“NOT WELCOME”: NYC’s Socialist Candidate Flees From Staten Island Restaurant after Getting Booed Out of It by Conservative Hecklers [WATCH]

In a recent appearance at an anti-Trump event on Staten Island, Socialist New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani faced intense opposition from conservative activists. Scott LoBaido and a throng of protesters booed Mamdani, slamming him as a “Jew hater.”

For context, others, such as self-described “Trump girl” and retiree Manny, said that Staten Island was “Trump Country.” Despite the protests, he vowed to continue public appearances before the mayoral race, in which he stands a 75% chance of winning against rivals like Curtis Sliwa, whom protesters supported.

Heckling Mamdani, LoBaido called him out for his comments on Israel, saying, “Let me tell you something, you are not welcome in this island. October 7th, you Jew hater! Hey, Mr. Mamdani, can I talk to you? This is my island. You’re not welcome here… You hate Jews, you hate this country. Go home!”

Agreeing, another demonstrator, Tommy Banks, said, “He wants to make everything free. He can’t afford that. He’s a socialist. He don’t live that. We’re not socialist.” Another woman, Manny, cheered, “This is Trump country.” Echoing these remarks, another member of the crowd stated, “Go back to where you came from. We don’t want you on Staten Island.”

Reacting to the protest, Zohran Mamdani blamed the president for the poor reception, saying, “It saddens me to hear language of being told to go back to where I came from, and yet, it is not surprising because it is so much of what characterizes President Trump’s politics.”

Concluding his remarks, the Democratic Socialist stated, “I will not let it dissuade me from continuing to come to Staten Island, from continuing to speak to New Yorkers, no matter where they live, no matter what politics they have.”

These protestors are far from the only people to express their dissatisfaction with Mamdani. As we reported, President Trump responded to New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani’s pledge to block ICE from deporting illegal aliens, vowing to arrest him if he interferes with immigration enforcement.

Inciting the comments, a reporter asked the president, “Your beloved New York City may well be led by a communist soon, Zorhan Mandami, who in his nomination speech said he will defy ICE and will not allow ICE to arrest criminal aliens in New York City. Your message to communist Zorhan Mandami?”

Answering confidently, Trump stated, “Well, then we’ll have to arrest him,” adding, “Look, we don’t need a communist in this country, but if we have one, I’m going to be watching over him very carefully on behalf of the nation.”

Continuing his epic demolition, Trump declared, “We send him money, we send him all the things that he needs to run a government. And by the way, they get already, they get about three times what you get, Ron. If you look at the per capita, Florida gets one-third of what New York gets in terms of the numbers.”

Concluding his remarks, Trump confirmed that his administration was monitoring the situation, saying, “We’re going to be watching that very carefully and a lot of people saying he’s here illegally, he’s, you know, we’re going to look at everything. But, and ideally, he’s going to turn out to be much less than a communist. But right now he’s a communist. That’s not a socialist.”
