Someone in the Biden Administration decided that it’s time Joe Biden went back to a union shop to try to talk to normal people again. though hopefully not as disastrously as when he got in a yelling match with a normal guy about confiscating “AR-14” rifles, by which he probably meant AR-15s.
So he did so. though this time he yelled not about gun control but instead about former President Donald Trump, making, in the process, some absurd claims about their presidencies and who has done a better job of getting the economy on the right track for normal people.
Beginning, Biden claimed that Trump was the worst jobs president since Hoover, saying, “This one of the greatest job creation periods in American history. For real. That’s a fact. And, you know, it wasn’t that long ago we were losing jobs in this country. In fact, the guy who held this job before me was just one of two presidents in history — he was one of — but there is an important point — one of two presidents in history that left office with fewer jobs in America than when he got elected office. By the way, do you know who the other one was? Herbert Hoover. Isn’t that kind of coincidental?”
Ignored there is that it wasn’t Trump who destroyed jobs, but rather blue state governors who shut down their states for months on end, destroying jobs and small businesses in the process while letting BLM and Anifa rioters run wild. destroying even more.
Far from being the fault of Trump, those lost jobs are on the blue state governors whose policies caused them. Similarly, the “jobs” Biden has added are largely the result of Covid restrictions coming to an end, not wonderful policies from the president.
In any case, he continued, saying, “Look, but we’re turning things around because of you. When the last guy was here, you were shipping jobs to China. Now we’re bringing jobs home from China. When the last guy was here — when the last guy was here, your pensions were at risk. We helped save millions of pensions with your help. When the last guy was here, he looked at the world from Park Avenue. Well, I look at it from Scranton, Pennsylvania. I look at it from Claymont, Delaware. Not a joke.”
Most ridiculously yet, Biden then went on to characterize himself as being just another ordinary Joe, ignoring his three houses and son’s influence peddling in the process. He said, “Folks, all my time in public life, I’ve been referred to as “Middle-class Joe.” I guess they thought that was a — the — somehow not very complimentary. Well, guess what? That’s who I am. It doesn’t mean you’re not sophisticated because you’re middle class. It means you work like hell. And you know what? Your family has to work like hell to be able to make it.”
